have you gone to college yet?
I'd put my money into that.
You can go to college and live very comfortably for 4 years on the 100k. But put all of it into a good savings account which can grow and take your tuition out of that and each year however much your living costs will be. When you finish college (and if your bloing 100k on college, you better be partying alot), you'll already have a retirement fund started, and more than likely some of hte 100k left over, if you weren't stupid with it.
go travel the summer after school. this should cost you 5k max.
then get a job and you will have more than likely over 66k growing for an early retirment fund.
and also you said your mom inherited most of hte money? well more than likely if your mother cares about her kids, she will let her money grow too and pass it on to you when your older. so you will have a load to retire on early.
if your done wiht college, then man. put it all in a savings account except for about 10k to go travel the world for a year. go spread your seed and spend your nights ed up out of your mind.
then when your done, settle down and get sheit together. |

im not done with college but my parents are paying for it so i dont have to worry about that...i think im gonna get a nice used car for like 15-20g, put aside some cash for insurence and invest the rest. what kinda car should i get? i could really build up an old supra for that amount...or get a nice truck... so many decisions. hehe |

Congrats!
Get a nice car, and save the rest. Maybe use up another 5-10k just to tie up some loose ends, and put away the rest, lock and key. |
