| And looks like only .1% pitch increments. I'm disappointed. |

| it would be nice if maybe the pitch slider was infinitely adustable and only the display showed 0.1% change (even though it was really more accurate than that) |

I drag my CDJ-1000 around all the time. Get a good case and you won't have to worry about it getting banged up. Although no one knows how much these sexy technics weigh, it probably doesn't weigh too much more than a CDJ-1000, if not less.
But if people haul their 1200's around, I don't think hauling these around would pose that big of a deal. ;) |

this is from a thread in the New York City forum about this topic. and you can pretty much expect it to be more expensive here. |

well i'm guessing they will debut at 3k. so crazy people who have money to throw around will buy them.
give them 6 months or so and they will drop down to a competing price wit the pioneers |

| surely it wouldn't be too hard to implement an analog pitch control? 0.1% is not exactly sufficient imo |

yeah, you would think they could make an analog pitch slider for CDs. i don't know if it's possible though. I don't think the CD actually goes slower, because the laser is reading at a constant speed. the sound is digitially processed to make it faster or slower, and for that it needs a multiplication factor.
someone correct me if i am wrong?
anyway, even if it does need a multiplication factor, couldn't they just make it go to say, 4 decimal points? that oughta be enough. |
