i would go with the 1mb adsl from nildram.
NTL have too much bad history for me to even consider considering them. :p |

| ask people who live near to you what they find is the better service, it does vary from town to town so ask around your mates etc |

ntl's customer service is wank, but theyre net r0x, once running and setup right. ive had cable with them for years and not one problem.
bt is wank, and their net is even worse, i wouldnt touch it with a goal post i stolen from a gypo park. |

then again coup, i've been on bt openworld since early 2000 and had about 3 connection problems in that time, top service, and my speed isn't capped for uploads like jays ntl is, i can send to him at twice what he can to me for stuff, which obv for me would put bt above ntl
I'm not sure about other providers, atm i cant afford nemore than my 576kbps line, which will keep me goin for as long as i need it to
Ntl... well they told me i had to have their tv and their phone & everything, which wouldn't be ideal for me so i think it's again down to preferences& areas |

if you want NTL you have to tell them you want a stand alone modem and not a set top box!
upload speed sucks big time though, mine doesn't go any faster than 14kb/s and if i use that much my browsing and down stream suffer badly!! |

cable for downloading, adsl for uploading which u want more?
i have ntl, when something goes wrong they're a bastard to deal with. you get some twat on the phone who knows less than you do reading from a textbook. this is after an hour of listening to the ntl guitar jingle btw.
but as people have said, if its working they're fine;) |
