lain is a great, yet confusing series that you will probably need to watch another time to understand it.
if you like it, check out other works by the same creator:
Texhnolyze (probably the closest to the mind thing, really really dark)
NieA Under 7- not dark at all, but same creator
Haibane Renmai- another non-dark, really good series
Boogiepop Phantom - many people that like lain also like BP.. not the same creator, though.
and of course since i have to whore out my site as much as possible, you can find screenshots for all the series above, as well recommendations (you could search for lain if you like it) at http://www.anime-planet.com .. then click anime recommendations ;) |
