hey everyone,

alright so i can't cook...there i said it :). anyone got any good recipes that even i can make. at the moment i've got lots of chicken around so chicken ideas would be great heehe...

chicken breast cut into thin strips, put some olive oil in a fry-pan. chops up some peppers, green red whatever, get some green beans, tofu squares, and broccoli. throw it all in there and stir it around until everything is soft and the chicken is cooked.

pour some teryaki sauce on it and youre set.

additional things to do are add an egg or two and mix cheese into it

or put the teryaki mix on top of rice

i like to marinate the chicken in the teriaki for a day first. and dont overcook the chicken.

yeah i usually dont have the kind of patience to marinate hehe.

some other quick ideas:

Seared Ahi Tuna: put cracked black pepper on the outside of the cut after liberally putting olive oil on it. on high heat (BBQ grill) sear the outside of each side for about 5 mins, or until you have a 1/4 inch strip of pretty pink in the middle of the fish. Takes a while to get it right, but its money to know how to cook it. eat w/or w/out tartar sauce.

take muesli mix and stir it into your favorite flavor of yogurt

fajita quesadillas - get some taco mix and cook chicken in it. get peppers, mushrooms, onions, cheese, lettuce. cook items as neccessary. get tww tortillas. put a layer of cheese down on the tortilla, put all your stuff in a thin layer, cover THAT in cheese, and then another tortilla on top. (do all of this in the pan. put on low heat and cook up your tortilla till the cheese melts.

^^ for extra fun buy cactus leaves and steam them for 10 minutes or so and cut into strips. they taste kinda like green beans

I got a good recipe I made it myself its easy too (I'm not restponsible if you mess up the flambé and get burned)
Ingredients
(I don't know if these are the right names in english of the spices so bare with me)
The spices it depends on how much chicken are you going to make
Laurel leafs (chopped or grounded)
Tomillo (I think its thyme in english, it comes in little branches when whole.. also chopped or grounded)
Ginger (preferently in powder)
Salt
Rum (best if its the dark colored I think its called vintage)
Chicken (any part will do but I prefer breast fillets)
Capers (the little olives)
Green or red Peppers (the ones that arent hot)
Onions
tomatoes

Ok now here goes
first chop the onion, pepers and tomatoes into little pieces, then you get a frying pan and pour a little oil in (I prefer olive oil) and light the stove to med temp wait a while till the pan gathers heat, pour all the chopped goods and keep moving them, then you pour the capers (depending on how you like capers put as many as you want but just the capers no liquid) then use all the spices to season how you like it (start with very small doses these are very powerfull spices) pour desired salt. Now while still moving everything wait thil the frying sound increases and there is very little or no juice (here comes a tricky and dangerous part) pour a little rum (quater of an ounce)and quickly light it up with the flames (the rum will light up be carefull cause if you poured more than that the flame will rise allot more, don't be scared) that's called a flambé now wait till everything is done and pour it into a serving platter.
Now the chicken put the desired pieces in the chopping board and sprinkle with care all the spices and a little bit of salt, then spread it all over the pieces with your hands. Use the frying pan again and wait till it gets hot pour a little bit of oil and put the chicken in (carefull if its hot the oil wil jump a little bit when you put the chicken) wait till you see the half of the piece go white at this point wait about 30 seconds so it gets a little toasty. turn the pieces over and wait till they become white too and wait the 30 seconds. after that take them out slice them and you will see that the core is still pink (this is good cause when you finish the chicken wont be dry) now put the slices back into the pan with the cut faces to the pan turn them after a min or min and a half after you do all the chicken then pour the vegetebles back in and let it be for another min (if you want you can do the flambe again but make sure the pan is hot and that there is little or no juice in the pan). and there you go ready to eat....

hope it sounds easy...

i can cook allsorts of crap

just fling anything or everything into a frying pan and bobs ur auntie :D

however if u really get the munchies, make a sandwich out of it, like if u got mash potato and sausage with pea and carrots or whatever, chop the sausage up, plonk a load of mash and peas n crap on a slice of bread and plop the chopped sausage on and apply second layer of bread, congrats, u just made a very filling sandwich. to make it a british thing, add tomato sauce or as americans call it 'ketchup'
