They didn't.
What about the Spanish, Portuguese etc etc? They killed just as many.
The Neocons have always wanted to remove Saddam for a long time, and with the terror attacks they had an excuse. Now Bush says Iraq had nothing to do with Sept. 11th. I did not feel that we should have gone to war in Iraq.
Because of the Electoral College instead of direct elections. In short, some of the small states think it gives them power, so they never vote to amend the US constitution to abolish the electoral college and change to direct elections. It requires a 2/3rds majority in Congress.
You're gifted. Don't rub it in.
Because nicotine is among the most addictive substances known to man (more so than heroin).
Don't you watch "Family Guy?"
Haha. I know what you mean. It's powerful stuff though, so most people don't think of it that way.
Sorry but that's a very ignorant statement. Many of them do try very hard, but science is only beginning to learn of the genetic factors that make a person fat or thin. One theory states that everyone has a more or less "set point" for their body weight, and even if they practically starve themselves their bodies will resist losing weight.
It may have some evolutionary significance (think survival of the fattest).
It's easier to bitch and moan than to put in the effort to change your reality (or learn some of the answers to your questions).
LOL
What I wonder:
Why the hell did I attempt to answer all of those questions when this person could have followed the advice in question #10?:D
:conf: :toothless |
heh WOW.... i've had a fun time asking these questions retorically, but someone REALLY answered them!!! heheheheh
well, you shouldn't have, cause i've made them up just sitting next to computer....
i know abut nicotine and weight coding genes, cause i'm a genetic myself, your answers to these questions were more or less like from a cheap book, but anywayz....
tho i found an interesting answer bout the leader of US... and now i think that not only do americans have a moron-like leader, but a thousand of them in all the states.... agree?
p.s. what is "family guy" or smth... |

Can be answered by:

10. why ppl complain bout bad living conditions instead making them better |
Because the primary problem for those people is that they are lazy, not fat. Their weight is a consequence. Note that there are certain people who are simply genetically obese, but chances are that these people *have* tried to lose weight and simply not succeeded. |

Because rain is cold, and when it rains its usually windy. Rain + wind = frozen balls |

Yeah my answers sounded like they were from some kind of fact book haha. If you are a geneticist maybe you can explain the genetic side of being fat a bit better for everyone. I think it will help them understand.
As for the US leaders thing,
Think of it this way:
If you were asked to vote on something that would cause you to lose your power (clout), or your region that you represent's power, would you vote for that amendment? I don't think so. They aren't thinking about whether or not they will piss off a person on another continent (what country are you from?) 10 years from now. ;)
Do the leaders in your country care about the people in North America? I doubt it. That's just the reality.

yes, i'm from Lithuania. why ask when there's a flag next to my profile... :D
well about the fat ppl: their genome is coded to "ask" for a secretion of cartinine (amino acid, that is responsible for fat metabolism), in less doses. but after years of studies genetics and dietologists came up with a diet which lowers the fat usage to minimum and instead replace it with more albumen and carbohydrates, however, most of the ppl who has the problem can't reconsile themselves to everyday tablet usage, that provide them with specific enzymes to metabolise extra albumen/carbohydrates or the other option, they have to use synthetic cartinine.
that's it! and if you asked me, if one is unsatisfied with his/her body, one should do everything (even choose 1 option above) to change it...
about the leader thing... pardon, but i can confess that i didn't understand your quote... :toothless it's my english i guess, afterall it's not my mother language:conf:  :o |

People who say Bush is a moron, and prove it by the actions the US are taking have to realize that this isn't an autocracy.
He may have the final say, but there isn't a single decision made without the input of many people.
I always find it analogous to a football team. When they win, you look at the entire team as a great power. When they lose, the majority of the blame rests on the Quarterbacks (or coach, either works) shoulders, without mentioning all the other people on the field. |

People keep forgetting! We're a confederation of states consolidated to form one big federalist nation. The federal government does not have supranational authority over everything. States maintain the majority of the power in determining most laws. Anyway, with respect to the electoral college it was needed when it was implemented. It granted certain states more powers as concessions for them to stay in the union (especially among the oldest states). For example, many of the new england states wanted to secede from the Union as late as 1804! |

'Cuz women make us that way. Or rather, some women. We all start out nice, innocent, caring, then get used, teased, cheated on, and dumped, and thus become disillusioned s because it's the only way to keep our dignity. |
