While people do have different tastes,you must agree that it is hard for us to find tracks that fit your demands when the tunes you listed as "good" break with a lot of the criteria you posted on page 1. Anyways, I'll give it another go:

A good track to dance to!

Slightly above average.

Not bad.

Simple but effective, good just for background music.

Worth keeping for now, but I may disallow it at any time in the future.

Spiritual and uplifting on a low level.

Good track, but it way too common. I'm not a big trance fan, but I was certainly force fead this one.
mystica - bliss
Moody on a simple level, some nice instruments heard in the middle, foreign vocals a bit annoying.
Solar Stone - The Calling [Inner Peace Mix].Mp3
Spiritual, but on a basic emotional level.
Starchaser - Falling Stars (Original Dub Mix)
Spiritual, but on a basic emotional level.
Chicane - Lost You Somewhere (Heliotropic Mix)
Sounds alright, but nothing special, just middle of the road.

The original sounds like a classic.

Similar to the original, but a slight downgrade.

Some low-level moodiness, but a very simple track.

Sounds good, but the beats don't really fit in.
Fusion Feat. Matt Hardwick - Spectrum (Original Mix)
Sounds like a good production that may appeal to some people, but doesn't effect my emotions.
Conjure One -Rredemption (Max Graham Dead Sea Mix)
Starts off really well, taking you on a journey with nice build up, but progresses very badly with a horrible drop of vocals, then the track goes downhill. Shame...

Some nice instruments heard at the start, but soon turns into a typical commercial track.

Slightly moody, but the beats sound crap.

Tries to be spiritual, but doesn't really work, and without any beats.

Can't really say anything negative about this track, just doesn't have any effect on me.

Mantis, I think because youre new to the scene and you dont know allot of stuff you should be more selective with your reviews, not every track that has a good melody is Commercial.
Some of the tunes I listed here were played RARELY by DJs.
Commercial stuff is Lasgo, Dee Dee, Boozy Woozy, DJ Aligator etc etc.

Did you know that Breeder is a producer that produced tracks especially for Sasha and Digweed, and appears in each and every one of their CDs, Listen to CDs such as Northern Exposure - Expeditions,
I think you got much more to learn about Trance so dont go and state that every track that has melodies in it is commercial. |

seriously...there is no hope for someone that craps on some of those songs...some of the best songs ever and they are just tossed aside :( |
