| After a downturn in the fortunes of the Italian sides in Europe we all thought that the Premiership would take over but with Milan winning last seasons European Cup and very impressive starts this season for Juve, AC, Lazio and in particular Inter I can see the Italian sides coming back to dominate European football once more. |

Just back from Italy on Friday and was shocked to see the fortunes of once great clubs like Torino, Fiorentina and Napoli....all sitting in the bottom half of Seria B.
I was also shocked at the crowd violence at the Avallino v Napoli match....guys throwing Scooters off the top stand onto the one below, guys in maskes attacking police and even Ambulnce crews....absolute nutters. |

Vai Juve!!
I'm going down to Torino in a week (from sweden) for studies and will stay there for a year or so.
Will I be visiting stadio delle Alpi or what!?
Is it OK if i fish for contacts in here a bit? :)
Are there any tranceAddicts in Torino that's watching juve regularly? Can I join?
Maybe even someone who knows about the lokal trance climate?
ok, now that sounded a bit desperate.
Well I do not know anybody down there so I guess I am... |

| I disagree.. Seria A over the last couple of seasons have been weak, especially in the Champions League. Lazio lost 4-0 and 2-1 to Chelsea and finished bottom of the first round qualifiers and arsenal beat Inter 5-1 in at Inter. With the new Chelski side, and Arsenal and United looking as strong as always i believe the premiership is looking a lot stronger than Seria A and much more exciting than the Italian League has done in the past even if at the moment it is being dominated by just 3 teams. |

Hmmmm.
what two teams were in the champions league final last year?
lazio and inter are the pirenial(sp) underachievers of italian football especially in europe, it's a fact that juve, and ac milan are the top two sides.
i just watched sapmdoria and juventus game there 2-1 to juve and an absolute classic of a match. The whole game seems to have a lot more thought to it than that of england and spain (possibly the reason so many people dislike it).
I think serie A is by far the hardest league in the world to play in hence the reason why people like ronaldo and rivaldo etc flop when they come to the league and probably why beckham chose the much more open spanish game over the italians.

i think the main difference with italian sides and english is that in the past the english have done in on the world stage wheras italian hooligans tend to keep it amongst themselves so unless your there to experience it first hand you hear nothing of it |
