ok we all know Nu-Nrg are the best dj's...but as much as i want them, and Paul to win, i feel that Tiesto will win again. but i dont mind that to much...
1. Tiesto bc-TIC
2. Paul reflections
3. Armin Asot is getting massive
4. Sasha sasha
5.who knows?
Mr Game+Watch
Armin's an awesome DJ... The problems with him, that'll keep him from #1 IMO, is that 95% of his set is pure epic trance and is no where near as diverse musically as a Tiesto or a PVD set, and the fact that he's honestly not a very good mixer. If you're a fan of straight-up epic trance, Armin's the man... he's GREAT at pleasing the crowd, REALLY gets into his audience (I saw him in April for the first time in Toronto and it was absolutely incredible... that whole night was incredible). He even drops some classics, I was shocked to hear him play For An Angel, Seven Cities, Godspeed and Communication. Unfortunately I won't be able to see him @ Arc this October cuz it's on a freakin' Wednesday :(

My predictions:
1. PVD <-- Seemed to be everywhere this year and his fans are RABID :p
2. Tiesto <-- Tiesto in Concert, his DVD, Nyana, were all plusses although I've been disappointed in his productions and I was very disappointed with both Nyana and seeing him at the Roxy this past May. Last summer he was on top of the world, there could be no better... He's still my fave though.
3. Sasha <-- Haven't heard from him that much, this year. Still the best DJ as far as mixing is concerned.
4. AVB
5. Digweed <-- Amazing mixer, but kept a pretty low profile this year.
6. Oakey
7. Howells
8. Nick Warren <-- INCREDIBLE GU set

J00F is awesome, but unfortunatley way underrated
PvD has already won it once, so I could give a crap if he wins again
personally, even though I don't enjoy his style of music as much anymore, I think Armin should win, simply because he should have won last year instead of that damn fool Tiesto who sucks major ass. Armin is just an all around nice guy, very in touch with his fans, down to earth, I couldn't think of a more deserving DJ in some ways. But I have the feeling that despite his giant growth in popularity this year, he still wont be #1, perhaps #3 or 2.
I would definatley like to see some new fresh faces in the Top 10 though...move out those old sods like Jules, Oakey, Sasha & Diggers (even though S&D are still great DJs).
vtec junkie
i would love to see Joof in the top 10, but i dont see it happening. like John said...the poll is a popularity contest and i dont give a who wins cause it means nothing to me.

pvd has never won it. ;)

Well im pretty much agreein with everyone right now in their top 5 choices..

J00F is really underrated...but id be ecstactic to see him in the top 10 :D

Tiesto has slipped IMO this year, but I fear that all the noobs will cherish and idolize everything he does, ergo..at least top 5 for Tiesto.

PVd and Armin...hmmm..gonna battle it out this year.. I predict PVD ahead of Armin by 1 place.. I just dont know what position van Dyk is goin to take.

As for the regulars ( oakie, digweed, sasha) i havent really judged any of their performanes this year so its anyones guess..

Let me just reiterate that I will be ECSTATIC if J00F makes it in the top 10!!!:D :D :D

i think pvd will be number 1 and ill cry if he does win, even tho he won't even give a either way lol :stongue:

beema: unfortunately, as u know, kindness doesn't make you win this poll... and yea, it's one big fat popularity contest....but i still wanna see pvd win!!!

ah, i could go on and on about this stuff.. but i think michi's got my thoughts down exactly ;)

Killing it at Arc a few times doesn't warrant you to bear the title of DJ of the year. Fleming hasn't done a tenth of what the other guys have done in terms of albums or productions on a global scale.
Tiesto went for quantity over quality this past year, so he is bound ot drop. Armin will be up there, but being the best looking doesn't get you the number one spot either. Maybe in a year or two. PVD has done the most this past year. With the DVD, the huge singles, his new mix cd coming out, and his massive touring schedule, he is gonna be the king.

 damn, took the words right outta mah damn mouf!!! :toothless
