They all told me that stuivers is the equivalent of 5 cents here , which means a coin WITH NO IMPORTANCE . ok, here's what I have to say
my friend's father worked at a museum for 10 years (he got fired recently) and he told me this: when they made(pressed or something??) the stuiver in 1988, there were a lot of so-called 'misprints", so the one you have, DJ Juno, is NOT a misprints, in fact you have a perfect stuiver from 1988, and therefor it is rare.
Of course, we have the stuiver in Holland, we actually have 1988 editions over here (not a lot, though:D), but those are the misprints we use , the Dutch government decided to use them, cause of the minimal mistakes shown in the coin. There were aproximately 50-100 "perfect" stuivers left, which experts say that there are maybe only 15 left...
Yes, it IS 5 cents, (but FastDJMP3 you probally didn't mention the special edition part)but cause you have the 1988 edition which isn't a misprint, it is a rare coin....:D:D:D
Hope this will help you:D |

Well fastdjmp3.. i dont know with which moronos you talked to???
But there is a big difference between the normal stuiver (even the misprintend ones).. which almost everyone has.. and the SE stuiver.. Those guys shouldnt act tough n all and get their storys straight!
Do you really think wed spend so many time and posts on this subject when it was of no importance to any of us! |

Hey Juno,
I've been searching the web for you, because I too am very curious how much the SE Stuiver ('88) is worth. I found a guy on the internet who sells and buys rare coins. I'll include the phone number, so you can give him a call.
Here it is: 0031610198317
Be careful, don't loose it and I've just joined this thread, but It can't be stressed enough how lucky you are.
One piece of advice: these salesmen are always trying to rip you off and there is a chance the man will tell you it's worth practically nothing, but hang in there!! and don't let him fool you, alright??
Let us know how much it was worth and stuff.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! |

It is a dutch phone number, it belongs to a man who is modestly famous in The Netherlands for his knowledge about rare coins. he's been in several tv shows here and stuff, u know.
go to a museum? maybe thats a better solution...just do something I'd say, we're getting more curious by the day!! |
