hah I love the way NO ONE has started this thread. (no one wants to start this thread)

Well I don't really know what to say, I think Max was sloppy and it took him a good few hours to get going. However...when he did "get going" he ing killed it.

I could go on and on about this party, but the bottom line was that it was fun as hell. We had a ing wicked krew and it was great to see a lot of familiar faces (plus new).

I caught about 20 mins of Mobius, and I have to say. Good on ya son. Both times I went in there you were laying it down proper. Really nice track selection. Bo!

Shouts:

Ray and Margs: As per usual, you are the best people to party with, period.

Tara and Matt: You guys bring a wicked energy to the floor, I love the smiles and Matt's "cute dance" LMAO

Chris: Man, I hardly got the chance to shoot the with ya last night man. But it was great seeing ya out, till next time.

Graham: LOL sorry about the confusion mate, it was nice to see you out, I'm curious to hear what you thought

Mirza (sp?): You ing crack me up, I think one of your lines last night was "holy fawk man, this is max graham, what is this"

R.J: Man, NO ONE makes me laugh more than you on the dancefloor. Glad to hear you had fun in NYC.

Dea: Alas, finally. Enough said.

Shawzy: It was always awesome seeing you rock out to the choons, I wish I could of spent more time with ya this time around!

Kevin: man, you and I were cracking jokes all night. I deem you mr.couch, your ass sat there all night. (probably something I should of done looking back)

Rich: Dude, it's just the beginning, it's pretty obvious you'll be around for a while. (r&r, bahaha)

John: You were looking in good spirits man, nice to catch up with ya.

To the new ta's I met last night: ESO, Samhouse, and nismodreams (sp?) it was nice finally putting a name to a face. Rock on boys.

oh and p.s...

Who saw me acting like an absolute wanker behind Max? Dancing all ing night? LOL I win for biggest loser.

Jonathan

Nat, you were missed.
samhouse
ooh i saw that:)....

max owned it...i thought it was pretty hillarious the way he yelled at the right turntable early on ...first or second track..but true once he got into it, the music was awesome....

Nismo was a pleasure partyin with ya ...i expect to see you at Saeed and Palash next Friday. And to all the other TA's..good energy..good energy:).

MAX RULES ...do i really have to wait 2 months:(

I got there around 4:30am after Theory Party. Place was still busy! Found some TAz in the VIP room! :) It was a mission to find the rest of the TAz that were not in the VIP Room. Found them and I was happy to see the rest of the crew that was still rockin' it at that time!

BIG UP ALL THE TAz tha came out and to support Mobius and of course, our Canadian SUPER STAR .... MAX GRAHAM!

Got to the club at about 2.30, payed $25 to get in and was not happy about that at all.

Listened to Graham's set, I think it was still picking up as I walked in. Started getting good at around 3am when he dropped 30 mins of techno. I danced my ass off even though I was SOOOO tired. I almost lost one of my earplugs too.

Max really impressed me with his "no headhphones" mixing hahah. He also did this thing where he tapped on the record to make the beat, that was pretty awesome too.

I wasn't really feeling the track selection that much at all though. His songs were kind of monotonus I didn't really feel like he was "going anywhere" with his set. I know he could do much better than this, and I can't wait to see him again.

I had an awesome time at this party. Got there early (thanks for the ride Erika, sorry we took up so much of your time, ing Rich) but not early enough. They wouldn't even let us in for free at 10:40 walking in with Mobius. But we did get reduced cover and all was fine. Me and Rich were already pretty drunk when we got there and I was in an excellent mood all night. As soon as we walked in we ran into DJ Eso and halo20. As soon as they opened the VIP room and Mobius was spinning I went in and I stayed in there pretty much all of Carlos' set and then moved to my permamnent place in the Main Room around 1 (I think?). Anyways, Max had already been spinning for an hour and I was hearing that the first hour of his set was already not so good but I had to see for myself. I didn't particularily have any problems with the actual set. It wasn't "the best set ever" but I have always loved Max Graham and so it was all good in my books (and he is so dreamy!!!). Had an awesome time with all the TAs that came, I was sooo hyper that I was bouncing off the walls. I ran into two girls from my undergrad at Carleton which was really strange (for one of them it was her first time at an afterhours club) and it was awesome seeing them at 6 in the morning dancing it up in the middle of the club.

Ray didn't make it until 3 am because he actually thought that he would have a party and everyone would leave by 12:00. Apperently, he looked out the window at one point and saw 30 peeps in our front porch. I can imagine what our upstairs neighbours were thinking! And someone puked all over the front porch too so poor Ray had to clean it up. Sorry, bebe. He finally made it tho and it was a great night all together.

Max was an awesome entertainer that night too and I laughed my ass off everytime some girl was trying to get his attention. Thanks for the stickers, Maxi. And thanks to Jon for keeping the crowd pumpin with his "incredible stage presence", so funny. Also, thanks to tw1tch for not wearing his jacket :). Shoutout to samhouse and nismodreams for keeping their energies up the entire night. Dea, nice seeing you again. Mirza and Graham, you guys are too hot to handle ;) and Shawzy, nice seeing you and your ballcap crew in full force. John, thanks for all you do.

Thank you to everyone that came over after the party (the house wasn't as trashed as I imagined), eventho Jon would not shut up. Don't worry Az, there is always next time.

Funny story Jon. At enTrance someone actually started talking to Ray trying to continue a previous story that they had with Rich the week before! (You know who you are *cough* Tordan *cough*)

Honestly what do you guys expect from an 8 hour set? Let's see one of you try to spin for 8 h straight, then you can complain.

Wow, you're a winner!

Because of this post I'd like to clarify a few things. Max was amazing, and I only said he was "sloppy" because I've seen him spin tighter (8 hour) sets in the past. I feel as though I can be harsh on Max, because I expect the best. He is my favorite DJ and anyone who was there could attest that I ing worship the ground he walks on. :p

The reviews have been fair and honest. Max Graham killed it, BUT has been better. Sorry to say. And in saying that, I'd like to also point out that THIS night was the best time out I've ever had while Max has spun. This is mostly due to the vibe (which Max helped create) and the awesome friends that were out.

from what I gather, this is what happens in Canada.
Alot of 'Max groupies' aka ppl who were coming to see him when he was an unknown to the rest of the world come out. Max mixes, but he has fun. hes not 100% concentrating on the flawless flawless mixes he can pull.
hes entertaining.
hell, in Calgary, we distraceted him enought to make him forget to change the MD. in his recorder.
he even said 'the first hour is better mixed than the 2nd because I started to goof around' and that was with us.

Max is a showman. I love the guy. Im pissed I wasnt there. Ill be @ round 3 of shine in 2 months. I hope. ID problems not withstanding.:whip:
That photo Halo posted of max with his back to the decks with the beer can propping the one side up is CLASSIC MAX!

ps he is the master of beating the non playing record. It drive me into a in frenzy EVERYTIME!!!
IN EH MAX!
