Global Groove 100.7fm Needs Your Help!

As of Friday evening all Global Groove Networks programs on CHIN FM 100.7 have been cancelled.
This came as a total surprise to many show producers who did not receive a promissed 30 warning from the CHIN Radio management.
I believe the loss of the Global Groove Networks will be a set back to the Dance Music scene in Canada, as for over 6 years Global Groove has always been there late at night promoting our events and always showcasing new talent.
That is why I encourage all of you to take a few minutes of your time and call or e-mail CHIN directly telling them how you feel about their decision to take this wonderful programming off the air.

The only thing I listen to on the radio is now cancelled.This is the worst news I've heard in a long time,why cant they get rid of that Z-103 bull and replace it with global groove.I will call Chin radio and let them know that they are hurting the electronica scene in Toronto by cancelling global groove networks,and that it is a big mistake.

I hope all the TA's call the staion or email them,and let them know how important global groove radio is to us,and show them your concerns. |

Ya I think signing a petition is good idea,I just hope we could get alot of people on our side.There is alot we could do to help out I think,like organizing a party on behalf of the global groove radio,and get some well known international dj's to come and support or do a set.But I really believe we could save this radio station if we get more invloved and show our support.:) |

looks like Hatirus, Jelo and Ladybass are very strong supporters of GG and we can sure get their attn. There are many many many more DJs that owe GG. WE NEED to get them informed about what's going on.
I dunno what i can do without GlobalGroove. The fact that it's just being scratched like that gives me an impression we're up against more than just the CHIN management. If would have to guess, the government might be involved... this is a stab in the dark so don't flame me and i hope i'm wrong.

My name is Pierre Mikhael and I am a supporter of CHIN radio, 100.7FM. It came to my attention that Global Groove will no longer air on 100.7FM. As a supporter of the dance and electronic scene, Global Groove is nationally recognized by many talents in the industry. Not only did it bring up many talents, but it supported this underground industry. From DJs, promoters and producers, it gave not only recognition to these individuals but it brought people to the scene and educated the commercial world about many genres of electronic music. Whether it was house, progressive, trance or even the darker sounds of drum and bass and jungle, Global Groove gave the dance community that music they needed: the music WE needed. As part of a diverse community in Toronto, the music unites us and brings us together to embrace the electronic sounds. Moreover, since Toronto is very diverse, and so should the music. In my honest opinion, I think it is quite alarming to hear about such horrid news. It is for the best interest of the electronic community to keep Global Groove Networks airing after-hours from dusk till dawn and let the tradition of six years to continue. From my best knowledge, the DJs spin for free and most of them bring their own equipment to the studios.
