Ok... I know how the British love their tea... I just don't get it though.
Sorry, but hot tea with milk... and sugar... seems really gross!
MILK? In tea?
Can someone explain this whole obsession the British have with drinking hot tea?
It is because it's so freaking cold over there the whole time?
Note: Our friend was visiting from England this past week... and he had hot tea with just milk... quite a few times... to wake up... etc.
As a Texan... I just find it *odd*... so enlighten me please! |

Moroccan green tea is the best :D
But on a serious note, I guess it's more of a cultural thing, that arose from the colonial era, when indian was a colony under british rule. :D |

Ok... so if you are British... what does it do exactly? Wake a person up?
AND... what the hell is "tea time"?
I called my friend and his mom said, "He should be coming home at tea time"... I was like "Uuuuhhh... OK." Then she realized I didn't have a clue! |

Hmm in italy there's a tea time except it's called merenda :p, Basically a small snack a couple of hours befor dinner :)
Tea has teaine (sp?) basically similar but milder effects as compared to caffeine. |

Some people might perhaps find it gross how Americans (Canada & USA) put cream and sugar in their coffee?
Tea's like coffee, wakes you up if it's regular, puts you to sleep if it's decaffeinated.
It's just part of the [old] culture... I'll resist making any comments w/r/t Texas...
Mako, what the are you on, tea has caffeine in it. |

Texans... oh lord... I could make some jokes!
Trailer parks... big trucks... cowboy boots... packs of dogs running the trailer park... beer drinking... RV driving... shot gun carrying... backwoods... red necks!
Coffee... BLAH... won't drink it.
Who knows... maybe I should try some milk in my hot tea... BTW... I do like hot tea when it's cold.... and when I'm sick. Just NO MILK thank you! |
