Yep everyone in Canada is going to start smoking weed, lose motivation, impregnate their girlfriends, shoot their best friends, and run over girls on bicycles.
Happy to see you are buying the American Government's bull anti-marijuana propaganda.
*EDIT - And no, I don't smoke marijuana. |

| so marijuana is going to make canada a superpower? i really don't see anyone smoking weed as successful. maybe just the average housewife carrying two kids with a pot smoking bum as a husband. I do see "clean" people becoming leaders and coming up with essential ideas to keep canada in pretty good health. isn't there a reason that todays most powerful and influential people are drug free? |

the concept behind decriminalization of marijuane is simple: why should somebody caught with one joint be given a criminal record, which can prevent him or her from getting a job? Also, by decriminalizing the use of the drug, authorities can focus on apprehending the growers and the dealers. |

also, if you want to talk about influential people in the world, then consider that George W. Bush was a huge druggie. |

i'm sure Steve Forbes and the rest of the Fortune 500 would love to hire someone with a past history of using marijuana.
or is it ok to settle with janitorial engineering at McDonalds? |

well im sure they would also love to hire someone with a past history of using alcohol too. you have a few drinks every weekend. does that make you an alcoholic? no. you smoke a joint every now and then after work. are you a pothead? i think not. alcoholism is very much overlooked in society and to have someone brand you for smoking a little weed every now and then is just plain wrong. so i sure hope you dont drink at all either, because drinking makes you aggressive, have a loss of inhibitions, and impairs driving. but oh man weed is the devil drug that causes you to be lazy and worthless. just think about all the college kids that toke up every now and then that are going for their doctorate degrees in college, and get back to me. weed is very prevelant in society and no one cares that you dont smoke, but take your drug propaganda somewhere else.
its very obvious how against drugs you are, maybe you need to educate yourself on both sides of the spectrum before you criticize other peoples life decisions. |

"yes, i went to college and did all the requirements to become a (any job)"
"Have u had a past history of drug use"
"Why yes, I smoke a lil pot here and there"
(i think u can figure out the rest) |

that isn't information you have to divulge... at least under Canadian law.
I would hope you don't have to answer questions like that in the States :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: |

no offense but i think only a dumbass would admit doing drugs at a job interview. have you ever had a physical taken for a sport, say in high school? well they ask you 'do you drink, smoke, do drugs, etc.' of course you say no because if you say yes they cant insure you. a lot of people work really hard in this country to get the kinds of jobs they want, they should be able to enjoy themselves every now and then. and how can you even compare holland to the united states. yeah we strive to be drug freut its obviously not working. studies show drug use went from a steady decline in the mid 1980's to a strong incline from the early 90's. maybe they should focus on the unemployment rate and stop worrying about joe schmoe coming home from his white collar job and relaxing with a little weed inside his own house. oh...i forgot, marijuana is the gateway drug. next he'll be coming home and to relax he will shoot up a little heroin, and eat some datura and cut his penis off. give me a break. sure ive done drugs before recreationally and sure im young. is it going to stop me from getting a job in the future? certaintly not. |

its decriminalized, so what? its not like everyones going to start smoking it. i smoked pot before it was decriminalized, i havent started smoking more after. friends who didnt smoke it before still are not. all it means is people wont be put into jail for just having it, instead of selling it. cops will find better things to do then put kids away for having a little dope
and for s sake, its not like toking up every now and then in your free time is going to ruin you life, making you perpetually incompetent, you're still as mentally able as the next dude. when your mind needs to be somewhere, just dont smoke. |
