but im thinking most clubowners, promoters might not.

Our scene is dying. Ever since the Plaza of Nations got shut down promoters cant afford to bring the DJ's we want to hear to town.

| Im sorry....I actually live in White Rock. Anyone from Van should know where that is. This damn bus strike is messing up my life. patticus when your done your demo I got to listen to it. Myabe if you want I could pass it along to some of the promoters in Van next time I see them. I just got my first booking for a party on August 24th and the guy thats throwing it needs more DJ's....its a charity event with all amature talent I could give the guy thats throwing the party your demo and you might be able to spin with us. |

special k, sounds good, but i'll probably try and improve still on this tape if you giving it to a promoter... jus' a question, i havent got out to parties lately
- how are they in terms of current trance stuff..
is riva and flight 643 already played out..
or will they be amazed by stuff like laguna - sceptic watcher and minimalistix - struggle for pleasure ;)

ok this is what i said in the vancouver forum about the Plaza and the upcoming Ibiza tour:
This is what I have been told is the reason for the closure:
In the time the Plaza has been open severe damgae has been done to the carpet, mainly from cigerette burns. Shortly before Twisted 2001 the plaza crew re-carpeted the inside. This as you can imagine was a HUGE cost. They then let 2 more partys go on, Twisted 2001 and The Slinky tour. They said that after these two partys if there was damage to the carpet they were shutting it down for good. Well the carpet was ed up once again and thats the end of the plaza. I think its so silly because the plaza makes so much money off each
party....$50,000 to book the venue (i think that was the amount...may be a bit off). Anyway as far as I know its shut down for good but it may open again later on in the year....I really doubt before the Ibiza tour though. This party will probably be at the PNE is they have PvD and Pete Tong....although I cant see Modern music being able to afford this party.
Sounds to good to be true....
I was told this by a pretty reliable source so untill I hear otherwise this is why. |

thats ty cuz the plaza has the best sound out of anywhere ive been. the bass just bounces off the glass and nails you in the bean:D
....too bad:mad: :( :confused: although i do like parties at the pne. do you know how many people they need to make it worth while to have a party there though? twice as many as the plaza? carpets cant cost that much, maybe they're getting heat from somewhere. who nkows. |

Just so you know, DJ Jeffree played Flight 643 at Nasty. Good production that party was. Good thing ATB didn't show. Graham Gold and DJ Scott Project kicked our behind so bad, I had to stay home for the next two days. |
