stage 2 will be organized as if it were a remix competition.. so everybody can enter if they want to make a full track with the melody Swamper has chosen.. |

Damn it, when i try to convert my melody i made with fruity to MIDI type file it turns out to be dameged or something, plays no notes at all, and shows 0:00 time.
:(
Anyone got any idea why it doesnt work for me?
btw, it might be cool if we could all hear the melodies. not just the chosen one but all of them after this first stage is done. |

DJ-Krieng, you'll have to insert a midi-out channel and put you melody in that...then it should work
and a question: if you send a melody, but come up with a better later on, can't you just delete the old and replace it with the new melody?

That's fair enough ;)
But I'm a bit stuck, just as I wanted to give a melody I was thinking whether it'd be a good idea to not kep the best melodies you think of for yourself... If you don't win in stage 2, the winner is gonna get all the praise with your melody, right? :) |

that's not entirely true, the one who wrote the melody can be mentioned as well in the 'written and produced by'-part.. besides, it's only the main melody we're talking about here, there's always going to be a different build-up, counter-melodies, etc.
moreover, the identity of the one who wins stage 2 will not be revealed immediatly after the closing date. you'll notice when i post the details of stage 2 in two weeks.. :) |
