TOTA is like the King Midas of Trance Addict: Everything we touch turns to . :eyespop: :toothless

Well boo ing hoo.
I'm sure you will be sorely missed by all those who knew you, and
for those witty and sharp remarks you are so well known for...
Seriously, you never posted in TOTA until your bf ed up.
And then instead of realising he was wrong, you came trolling in there
and only managed to make yourself look like a complete moron.
Then you come crying to the Chill Out wanting everyone to know how
"mean those TOTAs are" and that we're the reason you're leaving...
OH WELL :D I doubt anyone'll really notice you're gone anyways :D
Got everyone feeling sorry for you yet?
If you can't take the heat, don't get involved, it's that simple. |

dude, it was in crazy, a circus is an understatement...i took a bystander approach to it, because I wasn't going to choose sides. IMO, both sides made fools of themselves and I really don't know what else to say. And, imo, it was NEEDLESSLY started in the first place.
|
Bystander approach does not include coming into another forum to go on about it.
I don't blame Angel Eyes for leaving - she tried to stand up for her boyfriend, and just ended up making him look worse.
And werd to Diginut - as usual. |

I made a comment today on TOTA (one of my first ones ever) and they blew up at me for no reason. I was just talkning about how you should be open to lots of different music. Some guy called me an ignorant loser and the other a dumb bitch! LOL! |
I fail to see where the word "bitch" came into play there...
He did call you dumb, because, yes, that was a dumb comment.
You didn't say how people should be open to different types of music, you said | quote: |
Trance/Tech/Prog, it's all basically the same in the end, isn't it? |
Had you said we should all be open to different things i guarantee
you the reaction would have been very different. |

There shouldn't be any heat in the first place. The majority of your forum are right bellends, and from this comment you have single handedly proved angelblues post. so well done to you run along now, theres a good girl. |

Proven what part of her post exactly?
I'm saying she joined in on something she didn't need to get involved in in the first
place and when she got flamed for it, she decided to come cry to the Chill Out for
sympathy and decided to quit.
If there's already a fire no need to add to the flames. And if you're going to add to it,
be sure you're making sense at least, and don't cry when others point out the stupidity
of your arguments. |

I think what I said before bears repeating.
A lot of people seem to think that on an internet forum, their freedom of speech is absolute and universal. That is, no matter what they say, it is "just the internet" and there can be no repercussions.
Well, many of us on tranceaddict have made friends "on the internet." I also know several people who met their spouses "on the internet" (not on TA). So wouldn't you say that the opposite is also possible?
There are varying levels of difference between a forum and a face-to-face encounter - these aren't polar opposites. Think of a phone conference with 20 people - it is perhaps less impersonal than this forum with less room for misinterpretation because you can hear tone of voice - but there is still plenty of room for it. Would you say then, that if you said offensive and even libellous things about someone in that conference, it would be okay because it's "just the phone?"
I've read studies on internet addiction and personality transfer, it's really quite an interesting phenomenon and shows how the medium can cause people to imagine things that really aren't there - I'm well aware of this, I know that one's image of another's personality without having met them can be dubious, and yet I still must say that some remarks are invariably offensive to those that they're directed at, and making those remarks will make enemies just as making positive remarks will make friends.
I'd be curious to know how many of you also use the internet to talk to your "in person" friends. The deluded ones usually don't - i.e. they isolate the internet from their "normal" life. This makes it easier, because, if you're talking to your classmate over MSN, it suddenly becomes laughable to type "you're a ing dumbass and a twat" into the message and follow it up with "hey, relax, it's just the 'net." |

Hmmm ... that's SUCH a PP thing to say (remembers back to the punked thread).
Anyway this thread looks to be building up quite nicely. I think we should have another flame thread ... you heard what I said ... twats. |

In fact, that's exactly the reason I assumed it was her. There are also other noticeable things about her posts, such as her excessive use of the sad smiley :( and the way she types "LOL!" after a sentence. There's also the fact that she just registered and immediately not only started posting in both the Toronto forum and the chillout room and NO other forums, but even STARTED a thread! Most people, especially girls, tend to be pretty shy at first and lurk a little, wouldn't you say? Oh, and I also noticed that when I suggest she was partyprincess, she separated it into "party princess" in her reply, which looks like a very artificial "misunderstanding" that someone would intentionally put down in order to make their claim of being clueless seem more plausible.
Maybe I'm reading too much into things. Maybe I'll be proven wrong. But I haven't been wrong about any "aliases" so far, and I think some of you would prefer to delude yourselves into thinking that it's a new girl you can crappily hit on (I'm talking to you, Liam  ) instead of actually paying attention to detail. |

Jesus, man, you realize that Private Investigators make pretty descent money if they're good? I'll admit, the shoe seems to fit with the picture you've drawn. I see a career path being made... |
