Oh. Is that what you are talking about?
Like you read posts and don't understand what they are talking about because they aren't speaking in a universal language? Usually, its kids and what they are saying isn't really worth understanding.
Don't you feel you can ask when you don't understand? I do. And if my ignorance embarrasses me afterwards, I just delete my post. :D
(edit: wow that sounds a bit snobby. I don't mean because they're young they aren't worth understanding. I'm young. Oh well, I'll delete this post tomorrow probably so it doesn't matter how I sound) |

Old Echo and DJEternal moron or something can both take a hike.
And for all the frenchies and others who don't speak English as a first language, then we can make sure it's your last.
You rank up there behind the Osmonds and next to Sammy Davis, Jr. which is kinda bad, since Sammy is friggin' dead....
lol, {{{{smoke}}}} |

no, is not really about the language. it's more about the social interaction between members and their use of regional-biased arguments as if it were applicable to everyone when it's actually very limiting and narrow-minded. what i don't like is seeing people say stuff like: "trance is dead, no one in alabama listens to that anymore. people from alabama say that happy hardcore is in, so that's just the way it is" and try to apply that as the absolute truth in a global level when they actually don't have a clue about the GLOBAL scene or what's going on anywhere else in the world. people do that a LOT here, i'm not blaming anyone in specific, it's more of an subconscious thing too. anyhow, i realized that this discussion belongs in a sociology class, not in a chillout forum :p |

What do you know about Alabama dickweed?
It's two miles from my house.
You rank up there next to Sammy Davis, Jr. and Gary Coleman - both midgets in their own time. |

it's just an example, i have nothing against alabama. it could've been beirut, rochester, winchester, rotterdam, kiev, bangkok, whatever.

I think people who make statements like that aren't "serious"...or if they are "serious," they shouldn't be taken seriously.
I have to go study. Exam tomorrow. Don't frown. :) |

Old enough to beat you senseless for being such a dork.
You rank up there with the German genrerals who plotted the invasion of Russia and all the other major failures in thinking. |

yes, you understand, even if you don't care or agree. thanks! :D |
Well in the context you put it in, ie "trance is dead, no one is alabama listens to that anymore. people from alabama say that happy hardcore is in, so that's just the way it is"<--that is narrow minded and I agree with you. And come to think of it, I can see why that island was mentioned, although not to single them out, there are posts like that from members from a ton of countries. |

oh i know. i love that island with all my heart and i've had the pleasure to experience their clubs and festivals, which are the world's best imo. and yes, people from every country can be shallow like that. i wasn't trying to generalize at all. |
