Something I hate about TAs......

Is that so many of them have this insular, provincial mindset and talk to the people here without taking into account that this is a GLOBAL community. How many times have I seen TAs post about peculiarities and idiosyncracies of their respective country as if it were the absolute truth for everyone in the world.I think it's sickening. I don't want to point fingers, but people from a certain island tend to do it on a bigger scale than everyone else. Hey, I'm an islander as well, I can relate. Also, the citizens from a certain sole superpower are no saints either. I'm a citizen of that country too ;).
I just wanted to point out that there's a world out there, and people are different everywhere. It's good to find common ground, but even more important is to respect and understand those differences, which is the reason I love the Dutch and Canadians!

| there's a lot of languages on this board so if you can't keep up then why blame other people? |

political correctness can suck my ass and so can all the politically correct people.
we're way past that, just like Technaughty said :D
if you're offended by something, then, probably, the problem might be in you. or sometimes you just have to learn to ignore people's stupidity.
p.s. visit some 'less global' forums and see how much political correctness THOSE have... |

| it doesn't have anything to do with language or political correctness, NOTHING! it has to do with knowing who's the recepient of your message and whether he can understand your regionalisms and such. i could find millions of examples of this if i cared to look but i just don't give a anymore :sadgreen: |

I mean no one in Philly listens to this crap anymore, where are you all from that you are listening to this garbage?
I spin disco house, there are over 150 people at my usual parties and most of them tell me how bad trance music sucks. |

what the do you know, I am one of Philadelphia's top dj's! Check yourself bitch, I am DJ Marty R |
this is a troll of course. but many people will use these kinds of region-based arguments to discredit something they don't like. most people on this board have never been to philly and know nothing about the scene there, so using it as an argument is very narrow minded. |
