YAnkees win again. 2 games to 1.

*That fighting was so unprofessional. I mean I can understand players fighting somewhat. But attacking a 75 year old guy? Come on, even if he hit you it wouldnt hurt u as much as throwing him across the FIELD!!*

soo yeah....kinda bored....can't go to pvd at glow because i'm not 18 yet....

okay, here is my whole take on this fighting thing...

first off, fighting in any sport for any reason is stupid and childish. these players are getting paid millions of dollars to play a little kids game. go out there and ing enjoy it. look at players like miguel cabrera (20 yrs old) and jose reyes (20 yrs old). every time they get a hit, their face is BEAMING! they are so happy. the other day miguel cabrera got a hit and drove in a run. he started looking around at the crowd... so happy because they were cheering for him. i just think thats the way baseball should be played.

now onto this yankee-red sox fight. now, because we are in NY, i know i am going to get very biased point of views from you guys and the news. but this is what *I* saw. and, no... its not what you think.

obviously, what kicked it off was pedro throwing behind karim garcia. okay. now we all know pedro to well. and if he MEANT to hit some one, it would not have been Karim Garcia. he's not even a yankee in my eyes. okay... next they both, garcia and pedro, exchange words. blah blah blah, he goes to 1st. it should be DONE right there. and then.. whatever clemens wanted to do, he would've done. so we come to the play that was only shown ONCE on tv. ground ball to short. nomar tosses it over to todd walker and walker throw it over to 1st. karim garcia took out todd walker HARD. Ty Cobb-like if you will. there is NO place for that in baseball these days. you can end someones career doing that. so then garcia starts up with todd walker (and the reason behind this is what???). so garcia walks back towards the dugout and him and pedro go at it. both benches warned, blah blah blah. and i dont know where tim mccarver got pedro saying 'i'll hit you in the head' but i wasnt there so i will assume he didnt say that. it is no FACT that he did indeed say that.

next inning, clemens threw a ball that was high and inside, but actually too high and not inside enough to hit manny. but manny, the hot head that he is, starts up. fight fight fight. now the infamous pedro-zim incident. neither one was innocent in this. zim was obviously doing something off camera. so pedro, i guess, was kinda instigating by saying 'what?' (or so thats what it looked like). so then zim, who under normal circumstances wouldn't do something like this but who was hot from before, charged at pedro. and pedro, who under normal circumstances wouldn't do something like this but who was hot from before, grabbed him and threw him to the ground. now... i'm not agreeing with what pedro did, but when a man as large as zim charges at you... you NEED to do something. pedro could have blocked him, but it was in the heat of the moment. also, when someone is charging at you, they have momentum. thus, even a side step and a shove would've resulted in zim falling to the ground.

all in all, i do not agree with ANYTHING that happened. i think both teams were very childish in their actions. there is no place in baseball for anything like that. just plain stupid.

on a side note: yes the red sox lost. and yes, the yankees will probably win this series. thus, WS = Cubs v. Yankees. they need to start resting wood and Prior NOW! one last side note, even if the red sox do pull this off, i will now go for the cubs because that was childish behavior on the part of some of the red sox.

I have to agree that the fighting was childish and has no place in sports like this. The only thing is, we all know Pedro as one of the greatest pitchers ever and someone with control as good as he does - you could only think that he was looking to intentionally hit Garcia. Come on, when was the last time you saw Pedro throw BEHIND the batter accidentally - he doesnt pitch like that. Now Garcia retaliated on Walker, why? because he couldnt retaliate on Pedro, simple as that, but that too was stupid and childish. What really got everyone going was Pedro saying that he would hit him if he wanted to - THAT WAS COMPLETELY UNSPORTSMANLIKE - talk about a reason to start . The pitch by Clemens wasnt even close to Manny, Manny just wanted a reason to start . Zimmer rushing Pedro, well Zimmer had it coming by rushing him - what did he expect? I mean Pedro could have avoided it by walking away when he saw him coming, but whatever - whats done is done.

Other than the fighting - the game was great.

they should be. because the yasnkees and red sox made a mockery out of baseball. all 5 of them need to be remembered as the stupidest and most childish people in baseball history.
