well if the wont release the song we should be able to download it, he obviously isnt losing money if he isnt going to release it since it wont be for sale, which brings you to another question, how did they know what tasty wheat tasted like, or chicken, maybe the machines didnt know what to make chicken taste like which is why it tastes a little bit like everything, oh wait.

Either way, if the song is extracted from a liveset my thoughts are it is legal, since livesets are legal to download at least last i heard. Dunno just playing devils advocate hehe its fun! however at the same time refraining from info on where to get mp3s! muwhahaha

You have a point. However, downloading livesets is not actually legal (although who would prosecute you?), and in any case it's moot because he presumably had the live rip already and wanted an unmixed one, which he won't find unless someone befriends PvD and nicks a CDR or something. *hint*

most people dont know that when you buy vinyls its prohibited to even play the track to a live crowd or any live broadcast without the authorization of the artist and label.. if you buy vinyl many of them have in small print will say ," Unauthorized public performance,Broadcasting and copying of this work is prohibited." so actually most djs are playing tracks illegally lol ...

Actually no they are not. In general, clubs pay a fee to an organization annually which grants them the rights to play whatever they want in the club. That fee goes towards record companies, artists etc to compensate them for the usage just as you would find in a radio station for example.
