No offense meant if a member in anyones family uses these bastard things but their like the lethalist things ever.

Today I must of been nearly run over for about the 100th time by one of these things. This morning go to shops buy 20 B&H my newspapers and some milk walking back home minding me own business so I think it I'll have a pint so I look for a pub thats opening early as a couple along this street do, I can barely hear a thing then I hear like an electrical noises I'm like WTF must be some little bastard kid on their scooter behind me then this noise is getting closer and closer, I get ready to grab the handlebars and swing the occupant off as thats it I'm walking home and I'm not budging for anyone so I turn round expecting to see some little scrawny on a scooter but end up seeing this BEAST of a ing old person buggy right behind me I had to dive out the way nearly like something out of Starsky & Hutch she was delibratly driving at me, I was like ing hell you Maniac!

I've nearly been nocked down by these things on a number of occasions the ing oversize go cart flymo trim and edge lawnmover thingys I think do they actually not know who or what is around them or do they actually go out with the aim to maim and injure as many pedestrians as possible?

They should have sirens so people can hear them better.

What do you lot think?

When I was living in Romford, Essex there were a couple of occasions when a person of the older generation in their shop mobility buggy rammed me in the back of the ankles. I can understand they may have degenerated sight and a less acute spatial awareness, but it was blatantly because they either were not looking where they are going (distracted by some bargain for potatoes) or they are heading straight for the bargain they thought I was going to obtain before them. That incidentally, they think they should have, as they are older and therefore privileged.

I do however find them very amusing in a supermarket as they cut up trolleys and knock down small children without a care in the world. I have even seen one back into a display stand and knock it over. Cant wait till rudeness becomes acceptable with my impending old age.

However as a woman of less years I'm with Calla on this one. Sirens should be attached, and road worthy tests should be taken before the elderly are permitted to drive any shopping enhancing vehicle.

n.b these tests should also go for golfcarts, shopping and airport trolleys and any peice of luggage that has been blessed with wheels.

theyre even worse when the more senile ones take to the main road and go round roundabouts and !

I seriously do think they have a problem with people walking like they don't steer round people or anything like that, its just this view of run anyone over.

Like earlier it was some little old prune like lady so of course I didn't snap but when I dived I did shout out you ing maniac! but she took no notice just drove along looking in shop windows and to make it worse I saw her after my morning pint speeding along the set of garages by some flats near me it was like the most random thing ever but I reckon she had a hidden agenda to hunt down some bloke repairing his car outside the garages and she was going to do a drive by on his kneecaps I reckon lol.

I think that Iron Bru advert proves my theory I think their thugs.

And with the round abouts Ste they don't care I think, they reckon someone see's them and go's poor old people we'll let them through, like I've seen them speed it across the bottom of streets with bollards etc after today I'm actually tempted to get some rope and tie it across the bollards on the street I saw that happen.

This is also very much the case with single mums with their push chairs that seem to be in a hurry .. ramming the chair into your ankles (not that im a slow walker) and dare u suggest its her fault .. least not lose ur balance and land on the baby and harm it :whip:

they are mental.

that is all i have to say

well, i do have to mention an experience i had. When i was driving alond the road, it was one of those roads, where traffic goes both ways, but it has those oncoming traffic priority sign thingamabobs. anyway, i was driving down there and i saw a small object in the distance. I thought it was a bike, but as i got closer it was an old guy on one of the buggys. Heading right towards my car! I nearly crashed in disbelief as i slowed to take a good look at him as i went pass, just to make sure i wans't going mad or something.

But when i get old, i want one anyway, just to thrash around town. :tongue2

i swear i saw one of these do a big wheelspin once:eek: , walking down the path and it pulls out of a garden, tyres screeching and making big clouds of smoke (well, not quite but the image i had in my head then was quite funny), then it buggers off down the road at about 15 mph. Think it must have had an uprated motor:D

i used to work in WHS, and some old bat knocked down a display that i had spent ages making:mad: . 'Oooh, sorry dear' she said, i had to say it was ok cos i worked there (thinks of butt shafting scene in human traffic:D)

and cally, the reason why she didn't respond when you called her a ing maniac is probably because she couldn't hear you

final verdict - PURE EVIL!!!:whip:

My mum uses one.

She isn't senile or mental and she uses it carefully and doesnt aim for peoples ankles.

Oh, and you can 2 wheel them quite easily.
