Deleting MP3's really sucks.

My previous computer (now my mom's) had about 30gigs of Music, mostely Trance, Techno, Punk and NewWave(80's). YES, THIRTY GIGS.
And at the press of 2 buttons, it was all gone.
Why? Because that computer was ed, and too many of those amazing tracks were infected with virii, worms and spywares. I know for sure that at least 5 trance tunes were infected with worms/spywares. Off the top of my head, as i remember them, those files were the following:
4 Strings - Diving (original)
Green Court - Inside your gates (cosmic gate remix)
Isn't all a little strange - SHOKK
Sash! - Adelante (dumonde remix) -- to be honest, i'm not sure which -- i know it wasn't the Azzido one -- version this was, because i had 3 different tracks of it
Sylver - Turn the tide (i think... it was labelled Sylver-####)
I also should mention that i could not delete these tracks directly in Windows file manager, and had to delete them from DOS Prompt. That wasn't exactly fun either (i'm so used to C&P commands)
So, I just thought i'd give you guys all a heads up. Apparently our beloved "underground" trance music isn't exempt from real s wanting to ruin our lives.

IS TOTAL CRAP, SORRY BUT IT IS, CEPT THAT SHOKK SONG.
anyway I keep most of my sets on cd-r and if you want some sets like some essential mixes or something, I could help you out, I do have probably 28 oakenfold em's and frankly anything apart from the goa mix and 1998-2000 is pants. |

Sorry, i wasn't clear on that. The MP3's were virus-free (I had a few non-mp3 files that were infected with Trojans though)
Torontotrance - I know those are crap tunes, but doesn't change the fact that they were still infected. The rest of my MP3's were mostly hardtrance or hardstyle.
Paul Oakenfold is one of the few DJ's I actually hate. Any DJ that makes Trance sound cold and mechanical should be shot. Or at least, have poo flung at them. |

mp3 can't be infected with viruses.... they're not executables.
at some point there was a hack stored on mp3s to people's computer. But that was because of a winamp bug. |

| I don't get it... the mp3's themselves can't get infected with anything, so why didn't you just transfer those somewhere else before wiping the drive? |
