Whats a easy to use freeware program that will allow me to cut my mp3s into sperate tracks so it isn't one long track when listening to them in my car?

Thanks In Advance.

Believe it or not, I do it the hard way. I use HJ-Split/HJ-Join to do that . For me its easy, cause I do it now all the time. First I come up with the formula for the amount of KB per second for the whatever quality of the song, and cut the set whenever I want/need to.

For example, lets say the set is 65,445 KB in size and its 60:07 in lenght and is 192 kbps in quality. I take a calculator, divide the size by the length of the file (convert to seconds = 3607 seconds) and get a formula number. Then lets say, I need to make a cut at 5:07. I multiply the number of seconds of that length (307 seconds) by the formula number. The result is the KB value that I need to enter to split the track at that point. Usually it takes me a couple of tries to make a perfect cut, as the formula somehow has a weakness ... a 5 second displacement when files are very long ..... but I just add/delete seconds from the length and eventually things get perfect!

After I split a track, then I merge the remainders and continue splitting! Free, and doesnt take up much RAM or space on your PC! No bugs ...

^ If I understand you correctly, you want to split an mp3 file on a cd so you can jump directly to the next tracks?
Then you can make a cue file (a simple text file with time codes), and burn it with f.x. Nero. That's by far the easiest way to do it. For more information on how to make a cue-file.... search the forums :D

But to return to Romain's site - nice job! I like the core of it, though there are still many things to do.
First of all - might seem like a small thing, and it's only my opinion - the colors are not great. I'd rather like a white background, with black and coloured text.
The font could also be smaller I think.

Submitting a new track could works fine - maybe the URL could be a checkbox system, so you could check more shops than one.

When talking about the main site, I'd be nice if you could see which shops carried the record (maybe not at the moment, but I think it's nice to be able to see that the store had it in stock at some point) - and maybe the price of the record? It'd be quite a job when adding stuff, but it'd be awesome!

There's an error when you sort by release date - it only sorts by first date (day), and ignores the rest. Therefore it seems as though Signum (release 26-11-2003) will be released later than Mono (released 24-01-2004).

You should be able to edit releases - fx. when I posted Driftwood - Anything Goes, I wasn't aware that the release date should be -- if it was already released.

I don't understand PHP at all, but I'll try to make a HTML sample, so it might be easier to understand my ideas.

Well that was my 5 cents :D
If it's impossible to actually make some of the things I said, fine, I'm not trying to push anyone, only coming with ideas.

Only-Djs is usually pretty good at getting things in a little early than the actual release date.

about the font size i can change it easily, it's a css
about colors etc.. i chose black so it looks a bit like trance-ddict. i can change it but that's a matter of taste i guess; depends on your requests guys.

the price is a good idea, people will add it if they know it.

for the url being a checkbox, that's not a bad idea, but is having several urls really essential ? + several sites might mean several prices... it's becoming complicated to do and the database would grow again.

about the release date, it doesn't sort only by the day, but i don't know why, the days just don't want to be sorted same way as month & year... i'll have to try to fix it again..

I've made an attempt to show my ideas - I think it came out very well. Unfortunately I can't post it as an attachment, but I'll figure something out... I have to leave now, so it'll probably be tomorrow or the day after.
