let me spell out my post a little clearer so that you can understand it...if the mets were in this position, you wouldnt find any yankee fans rooting for them.
it is good to see that you know that the yankees won in 78. alive then or not, if you have been a yankee fan for more than a little while, you should know that stat. it's not like i asked for you to name the years of all 26 championships.

You've got to be kidding with that comment!:rolleyes: If it came down to the Mets vs the Redsox in the World Series, yea I'd root for the Mets, just like most met fans rooted for the Yanks when they played Atlanta in the Fall Classic Twice. Maybe I'm speaking for myself. But do you see my point:conf:
Why must we classify the Mets & Yankees as enemies??? Crosstown Rivals maybe, but enemies, not in my mind. After everything that happened on 9-11-01, any true New Yorker would be happy and proud to See either New York team bring some pride back to the greatest city in the world!!!!!!!!!! |

my hatred of the yankees, FAR outweighs my hatred of the braves. but see, as met fans we can and *do* admit when a team is better than us. because we are humble. yankee fans make excuses when they lose. last year everyone said 'the angels were just a fluke,' but so what? the almighty yankees still should've beaten them. i just hate that the yankees can do no wrong in 85% of yanks fans eyes. but when they *DO* do something wrong, all the fans seem to just ignore it. only baseball fans who are yankee fans will talk about it. blah blah blah. i hope dontrelle (him and cabrera are the only two guys i like on the marlins) throws a perfect game. and hits roger clemens. and i know if you hit a batter, it is not a perfect game, but it would be perfect in my eyes. |

Chicago Bulls during the Jordan era... a tru fan sholdnt be biased no matter how much they love the team and how much good that team is.. if they sucked, they sucked.. period. no in excuses.. who gives a about an excuse ? praising a team "no matter what" is pretty lame if you ask me.. and this doesnt go with just sports, i find this type of happening alot here on TA with DJs.. how ppl are blinded to the truth because of their "obsession" with various djs.. |

D00d the yanks have 26 world series titles..nuff said...as for the best series being boston cubs...i think not..yankees cubs would have been great. The red sox and their fans are weak...pedro got his mouth shut in game 7...along with every other dumb red sox fan...cowboy up ROFL....i guess you finally learned that you're not cowboys...
Another thing is why would you root for the marlins...they have your number as well..if it was marlins red sox i would root for the marlins...red sox and their players are low class.
