you are not a *baseball* fan if you think that cubs v yanks wouldve been better than cubs v. redsox. ask anyone... that series would've been the highest rated WS in the past 15 years. just picture cubs pitching vs. bostons hitting. wouldve been great. sammy v. manny. and in case you havent noticed, after the 96' WS, the rating for all following WS dropped dramatically. sox v cubs would've saved baseball. instead we get this .
and btw tek, unless clemens pitches tomorrow, he will be pitching in Florida. therefore, he will bat. unless he sucks it up and is taken out before the top of the 3rd. |

| Its my personal biased to see the Yankees in the WS because I am a huge Yankee fan. But entertainment wise I would definitely rather see the Sox vs. Cubs because of the drought of titles these 2 ball clubs have suffered. No matter who would have won that game it would have been the biggest win in sports history. |

Ugh, Marlins won Game 1... its ok though - the Yankees have never faced them before - they need to test the water and see whats swimming. Yanks will win Game 2 now that they have played and pitched against them. Game 3 and 4 will be in the air, since Petitte is pitching Game 2.
I say this series is either going to 6 or 7 games. The teams have very constrasting styles and will be going back and forth. I will go with Yanks in 6, when they get back home they will dominate. |

yeh i kinda feel the same way, IMO once a team becomes a dynasty then whats the point of caring about the series (unless you're a die-hard fan of course...)
I feel the same way about the Grammy Awards and MTV Video Music Awards. Every year the winners are always commercial pop music songs that are WAY overplayed on the radio etc..
besides I lose interest in baseball once the football season rolls around. NCAA college football is more exciting IMO |

First off your specualtion that the red sox would've been better rivals than the yanks is just that SPECULATION, and unless your a baseball demigod your opinion is worth just as much as mine. The Sox, pedro and manny got what was coming to them. I don't think this series will be good but then again red sox marlins wouldn't have been any diff..
