Haha, thanks Duncs. Forgotten I'd said all that. :stongue:
But seriously, Zabiela was ing awesome. I'm not a DJ, and I'm usually not that great at picking technique, but my god can that boy play. I was standing there about 10 metres from the booth, just watching him do his stuff (he permanently had a groop of chin-strokers standing at the booth and watching him so it was pretty hard to get a decent view sometimes) and I was blown away. I kept on trying to tell anyone who had the misfortune of standing by me, "MAN THAT'S TWO RECORDS PLAYING AT ONCE. ALL THE FX ARE HIS DOING. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS?" so I guess it might be wise to cut back on the Stella next time (especially at seven bucks a bottle). :p
Very impressed with JZ as a person as well. We went to watch Jono Fernandez in the side-room and he just wanders in and starts millng with us plebs. Shook his hand, said something gushing about what a bloody good DJ he was and he was good enough to smile and nod rather than run away (said something similar to Luke Chable about his production skills and he just like: "Um, yeah. So anyway, Virginia...." :p). Also bought him a beer but he said he didn't drink, so I had to endure the trauma of drinking them both in the end.... 
And for some stupid reason we decided it would be a good idea to go to the club Evolution afterparty as well (man was that a mistake - you know you're in trouble when you're the seediest looking person at a Monday morning afterparty). But even though it was a bit of a blur in parts, it was a top a night. Great meeting Virginia, Duncan, Gerry and Jules (top cameo mate :p) and hopefully we'll be able to do it again soon (anyone for Stacy Pullen on the 25th? ;)). |

chances are slim for t/list unfortunately
except for that blur mashup..
also i got a friend who went, and that was her first party ever....what a treat...:D |

i had a top night. infusion pumped it HARD! james z was rocking, kept us dancing until close (i didn't even realise what the time was!).
most memorable part of the night was going down the lift on the way out.. the thing was too full. we heard a loud BOOM BOOM and then the lift came to a halt. We all looked at each other and then broke into laughter. Somebody hit the emergency button and soon after the doors opened and we were almost mid level. There was enough room for everyone to climb down and out, and after a little resistance from the clueless bodyguards, walk down the stairs to the street.

Dunno if it was an official one, but yeah a fair few of the DJs went there straight after Room. I think I remember seeing it advertised as the official after party on ITM or something (which must've been how I'd heard of it) but I'm not sure.
In any case, never again... :stongue:
