Alright folks, we trust you all had a phat summer and got up to plenty of mischief!
Its that time of the year again, the Ibiza and festival seasons are over, students are here, there and everywhere and it is time to get down to some dirty clubbing to elevate those post summer blues.
What is on the clubbing agenda? Well for those who love cheese…you are spoilt for choice. On the other hand…for those who take music more seriously and like to get eclectic, ‘thisthingcalleddance’ intend to showcase the best up ‘n’ coming djs in Sheffield and introduce budding stars from right across the UK at monthly Pause events.
After launching from Bed’s Loft last spring and scouring the country for the most exciting new talent this summer, thisthingcalleddance will be landing at the new look Charles St this October for some exciting up ‘n’ coming dj-fests as some of the big names from tomorrow tear it up right here and now accompanied by our very own circle of resident DJs operating on rotation. We hope to provide a night to help keep your fingers on the pulse of the dance music scene and keep your feet movin’ this Autumn without subjecting you to crazy door and drink prices, dress codes, bad atmospheres and a lack of musical diversity. There should be something for all serious dance music lovers as we bring you the latest in prog, house, trance, techno, funky beats ‘n’ bass. Take it easy but come and get messy with us on a Thursday once a month!
