What is it about FEMALE djs?.....this is so hot or intriguing?
i mean i am one but i cant see it from others point of view ya know:p

i just like to represent for my ladies ya know
sometimes its a hassle though cause id get a new hair style going
look GREAT but cant use it when i need the headphones on |

Wear em with that arch that connects the two phones (I dunno wth you call that) resting on your neck instead of on your head. That should work, a lot of male djs do that. |

the sad thing about female djs is that a lot of them dj not for the music but for the publicity. A perfect example of this would be Portia Surreal who chooses to spin topless, obviously this is NOT for the music. DJ Mea spins in a g-string usually, and Penelope Tuesdae spins in a thong...Why do they do it, for the attention and this in turn has given female djs a bad rep. But since this is a male dominated scene those few have become so popular that they now have this fixation on female djs being topless or slutty when there are tons who are just damn good djs |

i just want to let all know that i really am in it for the music - i dont like thouse who whore out their images ya know

there were a # of ppl that saw my pic online of some profile page and said
HEY YOU WANT A GIG? I CAN HOOK YOU UP!!
one person didnt even have anyhting to do mainly with the events-
he was just there all the time being a social butter fly
another said to somehtng like the following
____if you want to really get some gigs and become really popular
you should do a webpage on some adult site and put up some reiskey' porn shots of yourself
i mean come on!!
there were many many positions i was given lead to get into at club only cause some guy saw a pic of me- otherwise
when i didnt show any pics and just sent the demo / bio deal
without ever telling that i am a girl
they didnt want to have anything to do with me
yes sex sells but im about the music
if i was A- sexual would that matter either?
or if i was a hermaphrodite? |

Like I always say, there is something for everyone...When my roommate booked Penelope Tuesdae to dj his party I just laughed. I still went and watched her wreck every mix, but the people there didnt care because she was in a thong...Now, good fun was had by all, but if you are in this business for the music and a promoter tells you to send pics or go do a porn site blah blah blah then you need to either A) change how you represent yourself or b) move on to different promoters |
