Do you feel safe walking down the street?

Something happened today that really gave me a wakeup call. A friend of our familys son was attacked on saturday.
Apparently, he and a lad called Chris went to the local racecourse. Chris, who is Toms friend (Tom being the lad that is my mate, and friend of family) saw some lads from his street and knew they were trouble. He told Tom and they continued to walk off. The lads saw them and came and beat up Chris, kicking him countless times in the chest. Now these lads are only 16. Apparently there were 5 of them. Eventually, after the poilice came and ambulence, the lads ran away. One copper sees a lad, pulls him over, and asks Tom, to his face, whtehr he was involved. Tom said yes, and the copper asks for his name, address and then lets him go, they both then go off, leaving Tom all alone.
Some girls knew Tom there and asked if he would walk back with them. he turned the corner, and because the lad was let free, he and 25 lads were waiting round the corner, on both sides of hte street, 15 on one side, 10 on the other. They chased him and beat him up, the girls tried to shout at them to stop but they kept shrugging them off. Tom got up 3 times and they kept knocking him down. He eventually got to the ambulence where his mate Chris was being treated, and because the lads were still seen through the back of the window they wouldnt get out to help him. Eventually he opened the door after staggering up off the floor and got in.
He now has a broken nose, cracked cheekbone and for what? coz a ing stupid copper decided to leave the lad, a 16 year old ing lad, on his own! what the is this world coming to.
I cant et my head around it 25 lads to one. It makes me so sad when things like this happen, it wasnt too ong ago here that a bloke stoped 4 youths beating up a young bloke, and they turned on him, kicking up the street, until they came to the railings and one kcik made his head go through the railings and killed him. What sentences do these people get, ING NOWT! they are out in a couple of years still the violent ing fugs that they are. Our country has a serious ing issue, and the coppers who took statements are ign twats. he is now in shospital, being discharged today, and he is black and blue, his mate is having his vital organs checked.
25 lads, they're gonna blame each other etc... nothing will happen!
Could have done with DJO'CHALLAGHAN lol(spl) |

I seem to always miss the violence that seems to be reported or shown on tv in Nottingham .. I even walk home from town to around the QMC down derby road and have done many a time and have never felt unsafe ..
Perhaps I should be tho .. I dunno :/

F*ck me, I thought my little "incident" was bad, but it's not as bad as that. I was walking to a pub to meet some mates one afternoon, and this scally bell-end was hurling abuse at random people outside the uni halls. Being a student, I live there, so as I was walking past on my way to the pub and they started shouting at me too.
At first there was just the one guy, standing like a loser swearing at me and saying how he's gonna "take my wallet and phone blah blah blah" and I just looked at him as I walked past and laughed in his face.
Bad idea. He starts shouting at his mates, "Come on!! He wants a fight!! He wants a fight!!". I walked about 20 feet down the road and this weener runs up behind me and boots me in the leg, so I chase him and he runs back to his mates.
Five seconds later, and the whole gang come down and started on me. Luckily, the mouthy e started first and I flattened him so the rest of 'em just stood there. I dont know if I scared them off or if they were just there for "moral support" or what, but it made me realise just how unsafe people are in there own town.
I cant imagine how anyone who has had no training in martial arts or fighting would deal with that situation, but I hope they dont have to find out. It wasnt pleasant. |

Aye the justice system with youths is ing e. They get away with blue murder. TBH with you If I was that lad I'd take the law into my own hands and hunt down each of them lads one by one and seriously them up, but thats the sort of person I am.
On Friday I finished work at 1pm as we'd finished moving into another floor of the building we're in so I had a few pints, then a lad I used to know from my old area comes in he's quite a good mate and his mum and my mum had known each other for years. We got chatting and he said he was working on a families house we knew, and he mentioned a lad we knew and had been busted as he and about a group of 4 - 10 other lads had been going around my area mugging people but beating the out of them, they put one lad in a coma, he said he'd got 5 years a couple of the others got sentence like 1 or 2 years, but the thing is one of the lads who was supposidly the one of the main ones involved got 150 hours community service?!?! Like what the ing hell? This lot though a couple of my mates ages ago gave the lad we personally know a shoeing cos he'd lobbed a brick at someone we knew. But I know what their like one time we saw them in a kebab shop about 6 of them and they ran out, and charged two couples walking across the road and just started laying into them? like I don't want people like that walking the streets.
Like my uncle who is now 53 used to be quite a thug and was very rough in his day, when he was about my age 21ish a group of 6 lads aged about 18 - 19 jumped him to get themselves a bit of a reputation as my uncle had one about town, they beat my uncle quite badly but he got up brushed himself down someone had called the cops and they had a word with him, they asked 'Who done this to you Pete?' my uncle repiled you'll know in a few days time.
A few days passed my uncle knew who done it and what he done was he tracked down every single one of them lads who beat him up and it was one on one he'd get the lads when they walked home etc, my uncle didn't have any mates with him aswell, he just went out, in the first week he managed to track 3 of them down whilst they were walking down streets with their girlfriends etc, he hospitalised all three of them lads, then about 4 months later he managed to track two more of them whilst they were on their own and hospitalised them both. Now check this out for a ing vendetta my uncle didn't catch up with the 6th lad until 15 years later! when my uncle was 36! :stongue: He saw the bloke on a bus with his wife, and he got up walked over and said 'I know you from somewhere mate?' the bloke was a bit nervy but it was definatly one of the lads who beat me uncle up, the blokes like 'I ain't seen you from anywhere' my said 'Yes you and your ing arsehole mates beat me up on a pier 15 years ago' and with that my uncle knocked the bloke and kicked him around the floor of the bus like a rag doll. And thats how you deal with little ******s who get to big for their boots. |

Burton is bad tho, i couldgo down aged 13 and feel safe, i wouldn't now, theres even daylight attacks :( |

i dont feel safe walking the streets, and never will untile the police get theor priorities right. They keep picking on easy targets to make thier revenue/meet monthly targets while voilent thugs walk the streets and beat people, often just for fun. There was a message on one of the car BB that i read, some dude had the police knock at his front door, ask for the keys to his car, then proceeded to spend 30 minutes doing a spot check on it, giving him three points and a £60 fine fornot having any fluid in his windscreen washer bottle. IMO, thats complete bollocks, i wonder how many people were getting beaten/mugged/raped while they were doing this:whip:  . And even if they do happen to catch the little s that do this, they cant do all to them, they just take them home to mummy and daddy(who probably have about 6 other kids), who probably praise them and tell them to off out of their sight. Human rights is bulls, people that injure others should not have ANY rights IMO.
And another newspaper report, somewhere in UK, the local council/police force are arranging for a group of 50 teenagers to go to alton towers for halloween night to stop them causing trouble, costing £1000 pounds, and guess who pays for this, me and you through tax. Just shows that it pays to be a little and break stuff/hurt people. Why not lock them in a dark room for a night, it'll cost about a ton to hire the room, the officers that are taking them can be out catching muggers and rapists, and the little s wont like the idea of being locked up in a room so probably wont wreak havoc again:mad:
Sorry 'bout the rant peeps, just needed to get it off my block, really pisses me off when i read stuff like this.
Anyway, how are you all today:p :D |
