Is that ALGENIS? :D

Anyway, my favourite country for trance has always been the UK. Back in the mid 90's there was so many classics coming out of there and I consistently find that many of my favourite producers these days are coming from there. The German scene was very good back in the mid 90's as well, but most producers have either dissapeared or moved onto other styles. Holland had an excellent year during 1999 when Ferry Corsten had his break, as did Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Benno De Goeij etc. but personally I think the Dutch anthem formula for the most part (with the exception of a few tracks) is getting a bit old these days, without much orginality coming through and lots of tracks sounding recycled.
MoonMan
Dutch Force all the way, mind u the uk comes a close second.

As in every thread started with a question.. ofcource it's a matter of taste..

For me I would say Dutch with Germany as a second tnx to PvD.
Don't care much for UK except James Holden then.
Japan as someone mentioned might be something in the future, love Yoji Biomehanika :p

In my opinion: The Netherlands (Dutch)...In Germany people like DJ Dean and the the tunnel trance force style are kinda screwing things up. I have'nt heard no cheese coming from the dutch places...Alot of the big DJs from the old good german days like Taucher, PVD, and Talla 2XLC have'nt really been involved in the german scene instead the've been touring other countries and what not, somebody needs to step up, hah.

Naja think you have in all countries quality and crap, in Holland you have the big names but you also have names like Klubbheads, Drunkenmonkey, Barthezz, DJ Jürgen, ... So think it's hard to say whos delivering the best trance right now. Also check the other big names like Tiesto, Sasha, Oaknefold, Armin, Ferry Corsten, ... they are also all more touring outside their country.

and what about Belgian trance...

holland is my preferred country for trance, i like a lot of their stuff, very nice and melodic. also most of the really great DJs are from holland...tiesto (though he's been better), armin, ferry...

and whoever said that germany is more pounding, i have two words for you: MARCO V

edit- UK comes in second :D
diffusion
Germany also equals Scooter and Blumchen :D

Holland is definately good.
UK makes some bliss too.
