does anyone here like commercial trance at all?
As soon as something gets radio play or gets popular it sucks? I don't understand the logic.
theeyesofdarkness
because there is no logic to that kind of thinking ;)

i used to like better off alone and sandstorm before they went on the radio. i stopped liking better off alone within 2 weeks and it still wasn't played on radio yet. so that song just got boring quickly. i still like sandstorm, i still think its a nice track but i don't listen to it much. probably because its played out by everyone already.

layla, aren't you going to sleep?....
DJ-Energy
so what if its played by everybody.. why do you give a ??

are you talking to me? I'm the one who likes everything. I don't give a if it's popular.
theeyesofdarkness
hehe yes TE .. in a sec :) arent u :p

well if people would only listen to their cds and not the radio or go club every friday and saturday then the songs could only get played out by them.. thats what i do.. i can only blame me for playing out a song :)

that's true. I'm the worst for that. If I like a song I'll listen to it nonstop.

I only hate music if it's intentionally commercial - i.e. it was only made to make a lot of money, and there's no sort of artistic dignity in there.

I'd chuck any kind of the artificial pop music in there (Brittney, N-Sync and so on), Alice Deejay, and a few more. I can't stand that cynical lolipop kinda music......

I don't think that Sandstorm is commercial because at least it's kinda different and original, though having said that I hate the track, especially after hearing it 365,054 times. Throw Daft Punk - One More Time into that category as well.

I'm really hungover btw.

ya man, that's true. I DJ highschool dances, so I have to play that stuff all the time. I've trained myself not to hate anything or I couldn't do the job.

Yeah but that's the hallmarks of a good dj though.

To reserve personal sentiments and to give the crowd what it wants, making a good show of it regardless of the material you're given.
