who are you to say that? that is the most disrespectful thing i've read since the results came out. trust me that a lot of people that voted for Tiesto were already into trance or edm when you were still on pampers.
i voted for tiesto, i have seen 60+ of the Top 100 in the last 6 years and almost everyone in the top 25, and i'm proud of it. he's the only trance dj i voted for and i'm also proud of that. why? most trance out there sucks, and there are just a couple of exceptional cases.
i've seen your god PvD 5 times this year alone. he's a great dj, but for my taste he doesn't come close to Tiesto. and i don't think that a dj that plays NBY, ATRC, TOOL and his whole ty new album twice in every set deserves to be #1. come over here and shoot me mother****** :whip: |

i wasn't saying the gabriel and dresden should be higher then deep dish or carl cox...i was just acknowledging the fact that everytime they do a set everyone is OMG OMG OMG!!!!
as for carl cox and deep dish...their are a lot better dj's out there...i haven't heard deep dish live but i have heard cox live and he's not that great. |

yeah whatever. carl cox is one of the most GLOBAL djs out there, he takes the music to the most remote corners of the world. since this a POPULARITY contest (within the global clubbing scene), it makes total sense that he is in the top 10 as opposed to G & D, who are not that well known. not even close. come on, carl cox is pretty much a household name in a few continents...
i repeat, if you want a poll that judges djs from a technical standpoint, you won't see many dance, let alone trance, djs in it. turntablism (qbert, mixmaster mike, etc.) would rule all easily, and they're not even on this poll. |

Just get over it...Tiesto won. Surely he was doing something right. And if you guys think PvD didnt win because he didnt turn commercial. Open your ing eyes....he jumped heavily in ranking from last year...so he is appealing to the same "cheese" audience you people are bashing. If you don't consider this poll worthy, then ignore it. If you guys have a problem with Tiesto being #1...go out and start DJing and get yourself on the list, otherwise shut the up and stop bashing people. IMO, I think tiesto deserved #1 spot this year..but last year's title he didnt deserve.
As far as Paul van Dyk...gimme a break. His livesets were decent but nothing to gawk over...repeating tracks a couple times throughout one set, his production sucked this year. Im glad he got #2..cuz now he has to work his ass off to get the #1 spot, so we'll all be in a real treat next year and hopefully see the magic Paul had a few years back. |

Tiesto definitely deserved to win. I have seen him in Holland (concert to 15,000 people) Heaven in London and Amnesia, Ibiza. Each time he was amazing. He is more than a trance Dj - he mixes it in with house and techno as well and thats why imo he is better than PVD. Tiesto takes you on a journey I dont think PVD does as well (although he is damn close!)

yeh G+D are mainly up there on producer merit, i bet 99% of people who voted for them havent even been to see them dj!
thus the poll is just a publicity farce, it is another section of the dirty commerically angled crap which has been dragging the sceen down. |

PVD is second place. that is 99% at the top of the list you in idiot. it is a popularity contest. tiesto has had pr firm in the us for 2 years and pvd only 1, thus he gets more press releases and media attention. perhaps that is a good reason he lost. also, his album wasnt too great. doesnt put out as many mix cds as tiesto, and you in wonder who won. why dont you make a list of your favorite djs on the wall in your bedroom, so you can have your in pvd as number 1. |
