Paul Van Dyk - 2003-10-16 - Live at Panama in Amsterdam.
Awesome set..
Why couldnt he throw something liek that in Glow??? Or maybe is the glow sound system that screwed the experience....

For what I know, Paul likes playing in places like Amsterdam and Berlin. Berlin because it's home ground, Amsterdam because of the variety of people and the chilly admosphere.

He can experiment a bit and the crowd just loves it :)

On his US Reflections tour he can't affort to do that. He's promoting his album and people expect him to spin certain records. Therefore no big surpises coming from the decks...

If you ever get the chance to go to a Vandit Night in Berlin, you'll be amazed. Paul plays for seven hours straight, combining techno with hands-up trance, rave classics and a lot of his own (reworked) stuff.

promoting your album.
Promote yourself as a DJ, I'm not paying $$ so I can see a halfassed set and 6 songs of his ty new cd.

That's the way it goes unfortunately... they don't call it the Reflections tour for nothing

EXACTLY!!
That is why I wanna give pVD a big Middle finger for having me drive from NYC to Glow for his 2.75 hours set where he played that german Wolf song 3 times and all of his cheese reflection CD songs 2 times each... It was like having Reflections CD on repeat... World class DJs should do better than that....

Sounds like you are in college. I know just what you mean, more or less. Ain't nuttin like the first time.. :p

But, I guess this is what is supposed to make us seek out those local DJs who just blow your mind and not your cash. Such as Victor Dinaire or 112 Crew, who I have just been getting into lately. :)
