DJ Magazine Top 100 Producers..

I think if we asked the question 'Did you vote for X in the DJ mag top 100 because you liked them for their productions rather than what you know of their DJing capability', the answer would be 75% yes..

I also believe that the dutch treat their local DJs like heroes, where as (for example) the British don't. That's based on web opinions and press that I've seen over the last few years.

thread #56 about the top 100 :o

PS. For what its worth I believe this year should have gone to Eddie Haliwell. Maybe his tune selections isn't always the greatest but his skills are incredible and he's brought something very fresh to the whole dance genre (if you've ever seen him).

arj's right, it started being annoying on thread #5 20 minutes after the poll came out

it is a legit question tho because most ppl voted gabriel and dresden because of productions not because of deejaying ability.

I voted everyone who I voted for because of deejaying ability

i voted hybrid for deejaying ability, i saw them live and they owned.

but even tho this is another thread about the top 100, the thread starter raises an issue that is correct. How many people voted PUSH because of his productions not deejaying ability. Same could be said with lots of deejays.

andy, remember southern sun frenzy? well, this is VERY similar to that. "do you want a photon project remix of the southern sun" is a legit question, innit?

humm probably but the way he mixes the tracks one minute before the time they should be mixed is freaky :nervous:

got a pretty unusual and original trackselection though. even if a bit too funky/electro, but that's his style

anyway, back to the subject, that's pretty damn obvious. i still remember the dude that voted for Leama & Moor. :haha:

still haven't got a clue why dj sammy isn't on there, hehe
