Hey all,
I am working on a breaks mix and I am having problems mixing into the Greyarea remix of Brindavan...I just can't find anything that works well with it. I've been trying other tracks in Bm as well to make sure it is keymatched, but it never sounds good enough...Anyone have any suggestions? I'm trying to pick up the pace a little with Brindavan, so something a little more on the chill side would be preferable. |

Right. I buy $60 worth of vinyl a week, not to mention a couple of mix CDs a month, and I'm ruining the industry. you, . Get a ing clue. |

| you know, downloading music like a digital witchcraft track wouldn't really be 'hurting the industry'. You have to understand that this is not pop music. nobody prints their track on a medium like vinyl for mass production. it's for dj's to spin locally (or in their bedroom). not to mention some vinyls are extremely rare to find so even if you wanted to pay for it you can't get yours hands on it. That's not to say downloading the music is a good thing but just try to look at it from a regular listeners point of view |

you do not know how it can hurt the industry. well let me tell you how. 1. digital witchcraft grayarea remix is not released yet. Its on Opek music. Opek music is a small canadian independent record lable. when you have people downloading tracks off the internet because they can't wait till the tracks are released and figuer its ok and its for free so hey why not. your screwing the small lable and you screw the industry. the industry my friend is the record lables along with the hard working producers so technicaly when your downloading unreleased music you cut sales and kill small lables such as opek.
so there you go |

Here's a shot in the dark. Try Shiloh - Swerve [Trail Mix]. I only have minimal break stuff, but I find this mixes well with a lot of it.
Brindavan is a ing tune and a half, though. It's worth buying even if there's nothing to mix with it. :stongue: |

| i think digital sluts = digital witchcraft. hes got the right to be pissed off like many other producers that get their material leaked out earlier before even promos r out, and then shared on soulseek. underground music will not exist soon if like this will continue to kill the labels. |

i understand what digital sluts is talking about but where else are we to hear what the track sounds like? most of these tracks are not available at my local store. Also digital witchcraft, sultan, tondepth, jiva are just up and coming artists so i think the mp3s will help them become more popular. I for one have to give credit to GU 25 for putting me on to sultan and the gang.
But sultan and the crew release a whole lot of good track and its very hard to find out the release dates and when i actually do find out about them they get sold out. It would be more better if they relased studio/live mixes with new and old tracks once in a while to keep the mp3 fans happy and give a tracklist.
i dotn know...mp3 helps you reach a wider audience but at the same time you can also get hurt by it too. But i do download thier tracks and buy them too.
I know that sultan and the crew are not very much pleased with mp3s of new promos leaking out |

most artists have sites set up and have samples provided there to download their upcoming releases. also u can hear their tunes in livsets that r being broadcasted on radio shows like proton radio. u just have to look harder. try global underground forum. they knoe everything when it comes to progressive releases. there is no excuse for saying mp3s r the only way i can hear the producers work. |
