it's called "having an opinion" and free speech. without it, what's the point of having forums? debates make forums fun. otherwise it'd just be another static site with people posting event dates and boring info.
if you agree/disagree then feel free to express it, as long as you can provide reasons why. If you can't, then your argument is void.
Dj Sammy is the only true dj anyway :D |

stfu noob :p
j/k
personally i think, that a lot of what they touch, turns to gold. For themselves, and for our ears.
Doing a commercial remix is not a bad thing, as it propels them into the public limelight. It is bound to get them noticed and it may lead to bigger things. I remember when BT produced N'Syncs - Pop, and a lot of people on here said he gone commerical, sold out, blah blah blah, but many had not heard the actual music. It was a good tune and the production that had gone into it was fantastic (bar the vocals :tongue2)
In light of their current style, they are just being different and doing what they want to do. Not all tunes can be uplifting like Beautiful Things. Their remix has to suit the original song.
G&D rock. a recent example is their remix of Hello. 'Nuff said ;) |

I side with speedracer_mec in this.I think G&D hv a very creative sound and a big vision, but I am not digging it off late.
I can see how ppl can like it though,I used to think - wht was the big deal about Hybrid remixes at one point, until a time when I suddenly started going crazy over their beats and crazyass sounds. Then some of their old remixes which I thought was weird started making sense...Now I think Hybrid r ing geniuses and when u think of a producer tht way u will greet and relish every new remix they make. |

Why do so many people have to write essays on this topic, a simple paragraph at most is more then enough..EXAMPLE
G&D aren't getting commercial at all. 98% of the productions are more then worth listening to, which is not common.Besides they havent done any coca cola commercials yet anyway..(tiesto is still the man) and about pop music remixes, Markus Schulz remix of "Stand" by Jewel is insane, he isnt turning into a popstar either. :tongue3 |

:D HaHa, must agree with you OT. Most of their stuff you can listen to, enjoy and get your party on, so what is the problem again. Maybe I should capture some of you guys, put you in a dark, rat infested room and make you listen to Scooter for 24hrs straight, then you will appreciate quality music.:whip: |

I honestly use to bow down to these producers but it seems like now their tracks rather than being dark/gloomy with a sentimental emotion layered over it, the tunes are just utter crap and too commercial. Their latest remix....me against the music is the last straw..I had the opportunity to hear it last night..... and was completely shocked to how far these guys have come.
Traveling from the depths of pure emotional euphoric dance to complete tasteless garbage...sad to see these guys going into a downward spiral |
You have seen the light. This is what happens when you do too many remixes, you tend to lose focus on your sound. Original productions also suffer as a result. Too many remixes, not enough time.
I hate to say it, but I saw it coming.... last year. |
