Losing steam? Please.
2003 has been a HUGE year for them, the eseential mix alone was incredible but then you bring in their produtions together & solo projects each are working on....
Not to mention that they entered the top 100 at 42.
I'd say they are gaining steam if anythying. |

| I just hope they can continue to make some decent remixes instead of all these so called "cash-ins". Can't blame them, I would do a few pop remixes. Maybe not as many and definately not Spears or Jewel. |

seriously people show some respect, not every artists produces the same tracks all the time, producers try something out, and sometimes you like it and sometimes you dont like it,
G&d are remixing britney so what? let them if you dont like it you dont have to listen... |
hmmm actually you made think for a second there. that's true, i realize sometimes could have a bit more respect for the producers. after all, i may not like most of g&d's tracks but they are all certainly a lot better than my fruityloops crap :haha: .
just a bit concerned that they are taking progressive into something more comercial than it is. dramatizing a bit, they could damage the prog scene like alice deejay and ian van dahl damaged the trance scene. of course they're nearly not as cheesy as alice deejay/ian van dahl. i just fear they're inventing 'popgressive'.
there's also another aspect that i don't like in their music - the overusing of vocals. when was the last time they came up with a solid instrumental track? |

Pretty much any of their tracks with a dub remix I would consider solid instrumental tracks. Even "Me Against The Music" dub version is incredible on its own. So good that when a friend of mine who is a huge prog head heard it, he was asking what it was only minutes after having been complaining about the G&D Vocal Mix. :) |

amen.
some people really need to stfu. If you don't like it, don't ing listen to it, no need to run around bitching and moaning. Sheesh.
I actually like the Britney remix, but I think a dub mix would get more support. The track is bangin' and enjoyable. G&D has produced some of my fav tracks this year.
As the Rush Comes

You people have got to stop ripping on Gabriel and Dresden ... So what if they take mainstream songs and mix them .. i think it is the best way to teach the society that trance music rocks and not some mainstream cheese section. I would say this .. if one radio station only played these songs mixed by gabriel and dresden :
way out west-mindcircus
Andain-beautiful things
motorcycle-atrc
evanescence-hello
nalin and kane-beachball
i would be plenty satisfied for months and months ... hahahha .. just a figure of speech , but you get the concept .. |
