| LoL, you also have quite a creative language. It's like an unwritten language meaning it's not noticed as an official language (eg, English, Spanish, French, etc). Almost like all of you speak in what would be considered "slang". ;) |

| when you say australia i think alot of things: jezza (my boyfriend), BEAUTIFUL WEATHER, beaches, culture, trance, fair dinkum!, laid back, trees, rain,dj keenetik, it sounds so good! Jez grew up in sydney and then moved to canada when he was about 15 or 16 and then he went back after high school. Most of his good stories are from australia and i love looking at his pictures and videos. We were thinking of immigrating there if we got hitched but im hesitant because my parents would be so far away. Anyhow, i will spend time in australia and i look forward to doing so.:p |

Words that come to mind: Kangaroo, Koala, Steve Irwin, Steryl Aug, Sydney, Down Under ;)
Australia is a very mysterious continent...it's about the least spoken of next to Antartica. Rarely do you hear about it in the news. Seems like a peaceful place though as I don't recall the last time you guys were directly involved in a war besides WWII. I know you guys supported the recent war in Iraq though. |
I think we've been somehow involved in almost every conflict that the US has been involved in... Australia tends to "tag along" like that...
Here's a more extensive list of conflicts involving Australian troops:

The Boxer Rebellion - 1900 - 1901
