I honestly would never be able to handle that, atleast not in the same place - every weekend for 5+ years.

Vic you should interview Junior :p :haha: hahaha
Mysteriousss
From what I heard, he didn't exactly *quit*.. And yeah, it might be a good thing for him in the long run. SF will definitely not be the same without him, but no DJ should stay in the same club for SO many years.. No wonder he gets bored sometimes...

i go where jp goes

and SOME dj's travel around the world spinning a different LOUD, hot, noisy environment every night. JP made his own hours. If he's burned, he made himself burned.

Hey Missy!
What he did is sign a contract, for 5 years I think..
15k a regular night and LOTS more on theme nights.. Yes, he has to stay for 2-3 days straight in there, yes, its tough, but the money is worth it. But then again, he cant really create that much music every week to keep same old croud entertained... He probably did a LOT better than many DJs out there.. I get bored with PVD/Tiesto after listening to 3 of their recents sets in a row...
About other DJs spinning.. they have 3-6 hours sets somewhere, they sleep 12 hours, spin 6, then sleep/fly 2 days and spin SAME RECORDS for 3-6 housrs again... New croud, new atmosphere, new system, fresh drinks, etc.. IMO, its a LOT easier to do then spin 2 days in the same spot. Yes, there is a time zone change, but after a year of traveling I am sure every DJ adjust their bio clocks to sleep whenever and not just day time...
It is a good thing for him. Its long overdue.. PLus he probably got enough money by now to never work again.. He can still travel and still once in a blue moon and make his money for new Benzes and BMWs...
Farewell, JP...

this man is not een that great a DJ...

he hyped up that song Gay/Straight did he not? i was too waisted to notice what he was playin halloween night...

I think Danny T is a better DJ for NYC's prog/tribals/house community a.k.a. "Twiloites"...

Lets all listen to SCribble and Riddler on the radio anyways...

well apparently it seems otherwise, but the stories i hear otherwise are because Richard Grant and Junior hate eachother's guts...and when 2 gay men are queens and would love to spread rumors about eachother, there is no way in hell a collaberation would work...but i guess money solves all problems..

i haven't really been following the stories and dramas about SF lately....my SF days and memories are hung in the back of my closet...lol IMO, SF has not been the same, and yes i don't blame JP for leaving. you can only do the same thing every weekend for so long....he's been resident for what a decade now, even more?

also, i just want to state my opinion while i can. Jonathan Peters is a great nyc dj, but comparing to the likes of a tiesto or pvd is unimaginable.

PVD fanatic
well put indy............

Why is he not as good as PVD or Tiesto or whoever... I sure as hell have never seen PVD keep a club packed for 2 days stragiht... It's all relative. With the proper marketing anyone can be a superstar DJ (i.e. Oakenfold)...
I would love to see Tiesto try to keep a crowd entertained from Saturday night till Monday morning...
JP had his crowd and to them he is every bit as good a DJ as anyone... I'm sure he'll have a home somewhere in NYC and the same vibe from SF will be carried over...
