LOL I can so much relate to that! With 5 I spent hours solving 1000 piece puzzles and going to theater shows, I was also interested in algebra at the age of 7 and read tons of books at that time..Look at me now...suring boards where the peak of intelligence is reached with "pics or stfu noob!"
j/k, I love you all :p |
did you want to be an astronaut when you were little? i didn't, but ALL my relatives constantly went on how i'll be president when i grow up or at least have loads of money and give rides in my private jet.
i don't know what happened, i used to read like 5 books / week - and i'm not lying, i really was capable of reading fast. we had a huge library and i read probably every single book in that before the age of 13 (did i mention i 'accidentally' learned to read when i was 3.5?)
now i occasionally enjoy a good book, but it's just not the same...
anyway, enough of inflating ego, must study for linear algebra exam, cuz 3 As on 3 exams = no final for whiskers and i'm already 1/3 there ;) |

*sigh* wasted talent must be one of the saddest things in this life. I actually always wanted to write books and make movies..I started writing stories when I was 8 and stuff.....I was however very fascinated with everything relating to space travel etc.
Oh well, I cant complain too much..granted my curiosity and motiation decreased dramatically but im socially quit happy. Nowadays it's mainly about the music,my fascination for stories, b it in movies or books is still there though. |

yes, wasted talent... i was just thinking about that one.... there are so many things i could've been good at, probably; i always had this ability to be kinda good at everything, although i'm still trying to find that one thing i'm amazing at, because i do believe every person is amazing at doing at LEAST one thing... but for now my life lacks direction and i'm too lazy to give it one... maybe because i could never dedicate myself to one thing for a long period of time, i don't like leaving things unfinished, so it's easier not to start.
stories, stories that make you think... think about life and etc... that's good, i like that... |

Ok, for y = x/x, y=1 with an asymptote when x = 0.
As for what 0/0 equals, think of this logically.
You have a full box, to which you can fit nothing else in. Hence room in box equals 0. You wish to put one amount of nothing in, which you can do, as nothing fits into nothing, or 0 fits into 0. You could put 2, 5, 10, 50,000 lots of nothing into the box, going on forever. Hence 0 divided by 0 is equal to infinity, there is no end to how many times 0 will go into 0.
This is also the same for any real number divided by 0. How many times can u fit 0 into say 5? An infinite amount of times.
Trust me, I got an A at A level maths, I know my ;) |
But the limit is 1. That means you could only put one of nothing into nothing :p. |

i wonder if we could take derivatives of songs, what would that sound like.... |
Of course you could, it's a waveform, and any waveform has an instantaneous slope.
I can almost guarantee you it would sound like , though. |

All right, you need some red phosphorus, some pseudoephedrine, and some other household chemicals
...oh wait...this is just algebra. Nevermind. |

A song can likely be represented by a Fourier series so the derivative would be very similar to the original, changed by time- shift and amplification. |
