Very porn indeed... And topless DJs aren't that bad either. ;)

ariel cybana spins topless? i think you may be confusing her for another dj jon...

i think this mix is great...really loving the tracks, especially the first half. love the first track! mixing is good too...i thought it would have been a bit of a challenge to mix from 'inside me' to 'strawberry fields' but you seem to pull it off quite nicely.

the only complaint i have was also voiced earlier. at some points in the mix, the eq'ing throws me off a bit, and there are times when it seems like the track is fading out and then the volume increases...

other than that, it sounded really good!

p.s. - 'inside me' is a siiick track!! one of my favourites from this year. it just drips filth!

steve.

HAHAHAH Sorry I mixed her up with someone else. hahah it's the thought that counts I guess.

But she's still not bad looking!

Topless still wouldn't be bad. ;)

oh its a gem alright..no doubt about it

thats hwy i have it on some of my cds that i listen to every day on the subway...

i guess it really depends on what the audience listens to..in this case, not many( maybe all) who commented dont listen to much breaks or just dig breaks here and tehre...

just my 2 cents:)

here's my review on jon's mix, that i originally pm'd him but he has since asked me to post it in the thread...

anyways, yeah, i listened to your set, but dude, honestly, i can't reivew it... i mean i can certainly try, but that set is just totally different league from my own, that i really can't judge it...

the sound itself is sooo ing different, i was blown away by it, honestly... like, i don't think i've ever heard a set like that, i've no idea what to clasify it as, and i dare anyone to try... simply put, i really liked the whole thing, although i'm not a big fan of vocals as you might've noticed, so that kind of threw me off a bit, but that is strictly a personal preference, and now that i think about it, i think you fit all vocally tracks rather well... i liked the different directions in which you took the set, kept things interesting thats for sure... the intro was very sweet indeed... i'd give you 10 for track selection and sequencing

the mixing, it was definitely pretty good... the bass changes were smooth and clean, although i heard some highhats going out of sync on one or two occasssions in about the middle of the mix i think, but that i find nothing wrong with at ALL, it happens to all the big names, and if i didn't hear it, i'd think there'd be something wrong with the way the mix was done... so i'd give you a 9/10 for mixing skills

now the 'journey' type feel i didn't get from this set, and thats what i usually look for when listening to a mix, and its my belief that every set should be a 'journey'... i know a lot of people don't believe in that and think there should be no journeys at all, just hard banging , etc... but i disagree, i think definitely it should be present, especially with this branch of electronica that we seem to be involved with...

so there you go, that would about sum it up for my review, not sure what else to say... if theres something specific you'd like me to look at, lemme know, but again, it's really hard for me to judge the mix since i'm not as versed into this specific branch of, 'whatever this seems to be', as you

wicked set jon... love the tracklisting... after hearing you play at elements for the first time... all those progressive house and tribal beats... i wouldn't have expected a set like this... i didn't realize you spun breaks also...
i'm loving breaks...
wicked set dude :D
Rocco
thanks for the set.
something really nice to hear while pulling an all nighter.

it helps me focus on good old vectors in 2 and 3 space... hmmm vectors.. music.... all nigther...

lol
will post my real review later

edit1: WOOOOOOOOOOT Strawberry fields. this set owns so far

edit2: OMG the vocals ontop of Strawberry Fields...... that's the kinda creativity u can't do in trance but is acceptable with other generes. bonus points for creativity.
