:( Just looked at their site for the new releases this week and all the good stuff...well ok, MOST of the goods tuff that I would have bought in a hearbeat is already sold out! I mean that's excellent for theam cause obviously their business is doing awesome but at the same time I think they should get some more copies in. :tongue2

And I know a lot of you would probabbly say that there are other record stores in town and all:nervous: but I really like release and lately their trance section has been getting progressively better each week (Customer service is great too, the guys working there are super nice unlike one other records shop i know and scared to go into :nervous: ). Not to mention they are getting a lot of the new releases faster than the other shops. :happy2:

Anyways on the one hand good for you guys, and on the other S%#T for me cause I missed my chance to grab some good tunes...GET SOME MORE!

well, they usually update their website on wednesday early evening, so if you check the site on wednesday night, you should be able to buy whatever you want. like you said, all the good stuff usually gets sold out in a matter of hours!

I noticed this last night as well, some seriously nice records. I came close to buying a handful but ultimately decided to sleep on it. And I'm glad I did.

Don't get me wrong, I *heart* Release, and will stick by them any day of the week. But.....something about every single person (dj) having ALL the same records gets on my nerves. meh

p.s. UNKLE - IN A STATE... WHAT A MOTHA ING TRACK

"My mind, is in a state, cause all I seem to do is tempt the fate, when I try, to free space, but all the world is crashing at the gates" (8) ;)

at least how I think the lyrics go.

It is always a good sign for the scene if record shops are selling out of their records. 2004 has the makings to be a great year for the scene in Toronto... *fingers crossed*

My thoughts exactly on Release, they sell all the big tracks up front before anyone else can. Only thing is everyone races to grab them and before you know it everyone is playing out the same tunes. A few friends shop strictly online (over seas) and it is pure quality that one here would hear. I recommend doing that once and while to give your selection a little bit of authenticity.

I used to go to dancegrooves and only-djs but i didnt ejoy the customer service i got from only-djs so dancegrooves is my place really. I shop there all the time actually its just that it would have been easier to actually drop by the store and grab some myself kind of more exciting and its just right under my nose.

That becomes pricey. If it were as convenient (quick, price) to order online from anywhere, I would. The release guys are great and I'll continue to give them my business. It's local, quick, you're paying for the records and not the delivery of them (overseas shipping, brokerage fees sometimes). I too like a little selection, and having the same records as everyone else isn't as fun. But sometimes you work with what you can I guess.

I second that
Especially now everybody getting the copy of 'ride'.
So most of the progressive sets will have that 'ride' tune on it.
