can't handle the arrogance of the aussie team, so was in strong support of NZ. They lost and the Poms won in the other semi. So its Australia Vs England. Who the hell do you go for ?????
I would probably go for the aussies for the one simple fact that we continue to have it over the Poms in every single sporting event we compete with them and wouldn't want reccent trends to change. However dont really care, because if the Aussies do win, Eddie Jones and co are gunna come out and say "told you so, told you so. We knew what we were doing the entire time" when in reality it will be the biggest sporting fluke in the history of mankind. |

i got to watch the aus vs nz match last night and have to say australia obviously wanted to win more than nz. carlos spencer is a mad player but he kept drifting off larkham and he was slicin him up. someone has to smash that lanky . also spencer isnt the type of player to turn a match on its head (as mentioned by another ta). in parts of that 2nd half he wasnt in at first reciever when he should have been cause his forwards werent going forward like they normally do.
youve gotta feel sorry for em cause when they get back they will be castrated
q: who else was hoping serge betsen broke wilkensons ribs on that late hit (which he wouldve got away with he didnt give away so many penalties before) |

Worst game of rugby i have ever seen and being out there surrounded by a wall of english fans being soaked by the rain didnt help either.
Sooo many mistakes. It was like watching an under 12's team play. When i got home i watched it again on fox to see the stats at the end. 35 handling errors, only 3 line breaks and not one team was able to string together 5+ phases. Very dissapointing at this level and stage of the tournament to see such a sloppy game. Sure it was raining but it is my understanding that id rains in England all the time!!
I feel there is something wrong with the ball or the surface of the ball. In nearly all the games i have watched, as soon as i drop of water hits it, it turns to soap. I dont think i have seen so many knock on's before in a world cup and im sure the players skill levels arent to blame.
Oh well, the final this week should be awsome. Australia should be pretty confindent after last nights performance. Unless England can get it together like Austalia did last week, i think we are in with a great chance.
Up the WALLABIES!!

I almost punched the ing tv after sitting through 60 minutes of 'get in the French half, pass to Johnny, kick field goal', or 'france gets turnover, knocks on, then Johnny kicks goal'. They didn't even appear to want to get a try, they were just happy to let Johnny kick all game. Boring as hell :o |

too often we've played nice & done nothing, I guess this style won't win many fans, but at the end of the day, in 20 years time, if we can look back & say 'England Won' then no1 will care if it was boring or amazing. Personally I'd like to see us at least go at it a bit more, but the guys are doing what they do, and since england win all, if we do win i'll be happy :p |

Of the games England have played against quality opposition in this world cup I think they have scored a total of 2 tries, 1 of which was off a charge down
The Welsh outscored them 3 tries to 1 and the French 1 try to 0!
Seriously if England beat Australia and score less tries than them then I think they need to look at some rule changes, eg tries 6 points, drop goals 2 points :P
The teams which throw the ball wide and play attacking and entertaining Rugby should be rewarded. Fair play to England they have an excellent game plan built around Willkinson's boot, but really... |

actually they think charlie may be gay :stongue: but don't put a horrible thought like that into my mind... buttseckz is for eleni & other sexy greeks :D
to be fair i couldn't be arsed to get up for the game, i got up for t he last 20 minutes like so i saw the end, we were a few months ago scoring many tries tho and we'll see if we have it in us to do so again this weekend, good luck and may the best team win :) |

Oh yes, the rugby. I can't wait for it, but I wont go out an predict a winner. Partly because I don't want to put my foot in it, and partly because I think the teams are pretty even, and imo either could win if they play well. |

They should seriously turn Rugby Union into soccer. I mean seriously, its such an anti spectacle when a team wins, simply on the fact that they have a good goal kicker ! forget about the main aim of the game, which is scoring tries ! just play good field position and hope the ref blows a penalty so your ace goal kicker can win you the game ! what a load of crap ! in protest I shall not watch the Final (not that it means anything, but its my way of saying Union sucks)
Bring on da NRL grand final anyday of the week. People say "Oh league isn't internationaly recognised, so Union is a better game" well you to those people I say, if you call this farce of a World cup a game, then you have serious issues !
