Hehe, finding it hard to look back at the stuff I used to listen to, I started out listening to Rave Mission, Prodigy and such :) Going to have to get some more Vocals!

just like it was said, go commercial, melodic, and vocal on her, even though everyone has their own buttons that can be pushed in different ways

Was considering "Gigi D Agostino - L Amour Toujours" But that might be a Vocal Overkill, That is almost a Ballad with some electronic stuff i in between? Going to see if I can aquire some of the stuff on the list, this has to succeed, since she came to me seeking advice on electronic music :)

Play techno and drum'n'bass too!!!!

Adam Beyer, Ben Sims, Chris Liberator, Mauro Picotto, J Majik, EZ Rollers... just search the threads about these genres.

Remember: girls like it hard :D

(by the way, what does she usually listen to? If we knew what her taste is, it would be easier for us to give some proper recommendations ;)).

find a radio edit of Gigi's "I'll fly with you", it's very catchy

i'd advise you to keep her away from extended mixes and original versions - too long, she may not have an attention span enough to get to the good stuff.

radio edits are perfect in that sense - they're short and for some ungodly reason usually cheesier.

Whiskers, too much cheese might scare her off.

Would you get into rap if people played 50 cents to you? Think about it :)

Well try to start her off in way a lot of us got addicted, with classic mix sets like Armin Van Buuren - Boundaries of Imagination, and Tiesto's Magik and ISOS series, Paul Oakenfolds Tranceport.

I had to try and explain to her about "the booring parts" at the beginning and end of most original and extended. Felt that i had to skip those parts mostly :) That is very true, they don't have the patience :)

some people really like 50 cent, so i suppose...

but it's not like i'm saying give her all the crappy cheese - i'm giving examples of GOOD cheese, quality cheese, if it's not an oxymoron... all the stuff i recommend i listen to myself, even though i'm kinda 'advanced' lol

it's not like i'm telling him to give her dj alligator, dj sammy and alice deejay (although the latter 2 i have on my hd and they might work)

******EDIT: k, just deleted an alice deejay album i had - i don't listen to it anyway.... :p

I know, but that's because they've already listened to the tunes being played on the radio - why show something that they already know? If they liked it, they would already had more of it :) Show her something brand new, that she's never heard before ;)

I had about 8 mixes of "Better off Alone" back in the day :toothless

You gotta introduce her with lots of vocal material. I've found that the majority of women need to have vocals in their songs or they can't relate to them and lose interest quickly in the song.

There are a few exceptions, but typically that is what I've noticed.

yeah i have the same feeling too. Most of the girls here like the vocals so they can sing along and such. They always say the EDM i listen to is boring and it takes forever to start.
