dude, you are posting in the wrong forum. the last 5 or so threads you have started have been about high end audiophile equipment, and this is in a DJ booth forum for tranceaddicts.

these are people who (speaking for myself, but probably others too), have blown their eardrums, are satisfied with the sound of the utter crap Sony V700DJs, and like their bassbins 18" and larger.

I don't think many people here are interested in audiophile equipment.

you might get a better response at http://www.head-fi.org that's where i go to find out about this stuff!

i was banned from head-fi for complaining too much about rambling reviews (I HATE IT WHEN THEY MENTION TEA!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!:whip: ) :(

l m f a o tea???
MERTON
yea! they talk about how they "prepare" to listen.. damn prissies! and this one dolt wrote a review that was 15,000 words long (literally) about his stax omega 2 that was a good deal of filler.. my gawd damn mid term history paper was only 10 pages long at around 3 or 4 thousand words!! for pete's sake!!!:whip:

Dude, then just skip to the conclusion... damn. If you want W1000 reviews, head-fi is where you get them. sorry, but we're a community there... *shrugs*. If YOU were gonna buy the W1000's, wouldn't you want to know what source and amp and types of music and such make it worthwhile to spend that much? Geez...
MERTON
hey gluey! what do the reviews on head-fi say? i can't read them.

Is English your second language or something?? Why do you care? Are you considering buying the W1000's?
MERTON
no.. and what was wrong with my english? the only improper thing was the gluey part. and yes i would like to buy the w1000's.. but i want more opinions on them.

I'm gonna have to disagree... TA is for people who love trance and music. PLENTY of them I'm sure would love to have audiophile grade equipment. Whether it's affordable is another matter entirely, but seriously, most people who love music would prefer better sound quality, no ?

If DJ's didn't care about sound quality, mixers like the Xone would be , and Ortofon carts would be too.... I'm going to stop rambling now :p

Alright. What's your source? What will you be listening to with them (what media, what types of music? mp3's, cd's, vinyl?)

What is your max system budget. Are you interested in buying a headphone amplifier? It should be known that the W1000's probably need a great source and a headphone amp to really shine... so whats your maximum budget for EVERYTHING, and what do you have already?
MERTON
right now i have a world version of the iriver imp 550 (whcih matched the aracam cd72t IMO) i have a meta42 with 2x627ab op-amps and 4xel2001, alps blue.. etc... i'm going to get either the black rhodium illusion interconnects or the nitrogen ones on headwize... and i wll eventually get a cambridge 640c (that thing is like.. WHOA!!! at $300 less than the arcam... and the amp and cables i tested it with were at a lesser level than the ones i used to test the cd72t... 640c has mega soundstage and great detail.. very balanced presentation of tones and pithces!!!!) and i may eventually get a graham slee solo headphone amp (soooomme day) and i have the ms2's right now.
