A new but faithfull TA

| It had been requested by several that I become a TA concidering my love for Trance. I have driven down to Miami twice this year (not last night unfortunatly) for pvd. This year alone I have seen pvd 6 times, ferry corsten, avb, suckenfold twice (sorry the man cant mix), sasha, sandra collins 4 times, tiesto twice, mauro picotto, acosta 5 times, micro (hes gone downhill), deepsky live, chris liebing. and so many others. I have found in meeting with some TA's that a good bit dont like to drive even 4 hours to see pvd. Doesnt seem like any kind of TA I was expecting. There are several times money is tight and I hear some kind of trance dj is going to be 6 or more hours away from me and I leave and go to it and then drive right back to avoid hotel expense. I mean with my love for trance its worth the agonony of staying away. Enough of my rant. Its good to be here and I will try to post a decent amount. I have a billon other forums I am on so sometimes its hard. Good to be here and cant wait to share my upcoming review here. |

Well, Micros spinning is still intact but lately his sets could be considered progressive house. Maybe some housy trance. And oakenfold. I saw him at Ultra 5, in Nashville, TN, and in DC. His DC show was the best but all lacked any real mixing skills, unless you consider the skill of fading at the right moment to make it sound like the beat never stopped (which is a skill but shouldnt be used the whole set). I have the Ultra set to prove it. He just fades. In nashville, he didnt care about mixing it was holding his arms out to the crowd even while the record was wrecking. That happened at least 6 times. The mans got a terrible ego with his new cd fliers saying "From the number 1 DJ in the world" when hes not even rated that on thedjlist.com . People can flame but I speak from truth. I still danced to his sets because he knows how to have fun with a crowd and to the untrained ear it sounds great and jumpy. Just my opinion. sorry to anyone that comes along who I offended |
