That actually IS a dumb reason to close a thread considering all of the garbage that's posted in other threads defaming other people that goes unmoderated... |

Fine, I'll bump this thread because it deserves it. The Dj's don't need to. We need to support our local talent. These guys put on a good show and should be recognized. I'm glad this thread is still alive and I hope to see a lot of people turn out.

Actually, it is not a dumb reason. There are rules in this forum and they will stand. But no worries, measures are currently being taken to solve the current events listing issues.

perhaps the rules should be posted b/c it's hard to follow rules when you don't know what the rules are. |

You hit the nail on the head right there.
I'd suggest the negativity and disrepute which has polluted this board as of late causes far larger problems than event threads being bumped by promoters (which by the way has occured in every event thread I've read to date, not just this one)
But I'm no moderator nor do I wish to be.

What happens elsewhere on the board by other people is not your concern, what should be of concern is the fact that you know that this event is being clearly bumped yet you still complain when I tell people to stop. For this statement alone this thread should be closed but it won't because changes are going to be made shortly.
Remember Dennis, if you do not like the rules you have an option of not posting your events in here.

i think dennis is posting this event because matt and eric are spinning...if i do recall, they are both active members of this forum...they are local, they are good, and they get a lot of support from ppl here.
i see no reason why you would even consider closing this thread...its just a heads up to ppl that a few of our own are playing on friday night. i see nothing wrong with that.

And I definitely support all TOTA up and coming DJs, however do you think it is fair to all the other promoters who are not allowed to bump their event threads?

yeah i do think its fair. well, how many other promoters are booking active members of the forum?
the only 2 i can remember off hand are this party in kitchener, and the robbie rivera/trancegeek thing on friday. and they arent even shameless/blatant bumping.
i think you should take that into consideration (are there ta djs spinning at a party) when you draft up your rules.
