im thinking of doing it, not for a whole year though.. i know some guys that live there and barely speak any japanese, you can only get away with it in certain parts though... |

You don't have to speak japanese.. of course, if you do, you could probably get around better in the beginning.
However, pretty much all request that you have this English teacher's diploma (forgot what it's called).. Japan is the biggest market right now, but you can pick wherever you would want to go (for example, go to a country whose language you want to learn while making money by teaching english there). Oh, and in most places you sign a 6-month contract, some 1 year (yes, Japan is one of those), and you can renew it if they offer you to stay/you like it. Some places you can do a 3-month summer program. It's very interesting. I'm thinking of doing this when I graduate from univ. next summer..
It might be somewhat problematic if English is not your first language, I heard.. |

| Ive been wanting to go there since i was in High School.. more than likly ill be going this summer i better start learning the language that way i can get me some fine ladies.. haha.. |

I know one thing for sure:
The Japanese was sadistic and insane. Just have a look at the
history books. I'd say they got away easy with Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
They've done some terrible things man. Just ask China.
Worse than the Germans... Way worse.
I don't want to go. (Tokyo is probably a blast tho:) ) |

From memory (I may be way off here), the stuff they did to China was comparable to some of the things the Nazis did.
Having said that, you can hardly judge them for that today, from what I hear Japan is a perfectly normal and 'nice' country :p |
