What is something you see in almost all rap videos?
-Women
-Heavy metals they have around their necks
-black people (im not racist, its just an observation)
The only thing i like about rap/hip hop is the beats. My life has no relation to pimping and all that bull they talk about. |

PLEASE, trying to tie in world wide, humanitarian issues and "oppression" of blacks in a white world with a urban culture is about as useful as believing Bush: it doesn't work. You seem like your giving a in speech to the WTO. Remember, it's just music.
Your also no different than these ass clowns like TCFan, viewing hip hop as becoming vain: interestingly enough, you see the de-evolution, yet fail to comment on how it has branched off into commercialized business rather than a lifestyle. So what is it? Political ideologies and the big picture of hip hop's true message, or your narrow minded view on how all hip hop is becoming corporatized?
And no, I'm not sorry on getting all riled up about this. I'm just sick of these half assed attempts to decrypt a musical culture that has become so exploited for the wrong purposes.

Do you think its a good thing what commercial HIp is spreading, that those messages are positive?
I can appreciate the messages underground hip hop has, its lyrics and stuff, but not commercial ..
You dont know about the iimplications that have been caused becuase of this music... kids glorifying TUPAC becuase he is a gangster that likes to shoot up East side "******s" and kill Biggies kids and MOther"
What kind of message are these hip hop artists sending to Youth as they promote 'pimpin'.... for s sake look at the big picture..

Trance is a DANCE oriented genre, it is made specifically for that, not to spread messages of revolt and humanitarian crisis.
How do you know what the song has to do with? It is only perceived as a sound, usually without any explicit or message.
When they play calssical music and show beaches.. does that have "NOTHING" to do with the song.
You are digressing from the argument at hand. Focus on HIP HOP... thats the argment |
